Role Description This is a 100% contract (freelance) role for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, with an immediate start available. Your main responsibilities include: -Planning and design of high-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems for international industrial projects. -Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, protection concepts, and technical specifications. -Performing power system calculations, including short-circuit, selectivity, and load flow analyses. -Technical coordination with internal disciplines (Automation, Process Engineering) and external suppliers. -Integration of power distribution systems into the overall plant architecture, including interfaces with automation and process control systems (DCS/PLC). Qualifications -Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within High-Voltage and Medium-Voltage environments. -Experience in the design and specification of MV/HV switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems in industrial plant projects -Strong experience in creating Single Line Diagrams, electrical schematics, and protection concepts. -Experience with selectivity studies, short-circuit calculations, and power system analysis. -Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (IEC, EN, and ideally UL) -Understanding of interfaces with automation and control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) -Excellent English and German language skills Nice to Have -Experience with engineering tools such as COMOS and/or EPLAN. -Experience within the paper industry. -Experience working on international projects and remote engineering teams -Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
