Summary

We're Everboost, a UK retention marketing agency. We plan and write email + SMS for a portfolio of DTC e-commerce brands - supplements, skincare, food and drink - across both campaigns and lifecycle flows in Klaviyo. We're looking for someone whose first drafts arrive 99% there. Correct grammar, correct product terminology, brand voice nailed, and no phrasing that sounds like it fell out of an AI tool. If a brand calls their product X, you will never call them Y. If the brand voice is "a mum texting her best mate", your copy won't read like a science blog. What you'll be writing: Promotional campaign emails (launches, offers, seasonal) Lifecycle flow copy (welcome, post-purchase onboarding, winback, subscription journeys) SMS campaigns Subject lines and preview text that get opened Direct mail copy You'll work from detailed briefs, brand voice guidelines and voice-of-customer research (we mine thousands of real customer reviews per brand, so you'll have the customer's actual language to draw on). Copy is delivered in structured docs tagged by design element (hero, subheads, body blocks, CTAs) so our designers can build straight from it. What we need from you: Native English speaker and writer. Non-negotiable for this role. 3+ years writing email for DTC/e-commerce brands, ideally agency-side or across multiple brands at once Proven ability to switch between distinct brand voices - your portfolio should show range, not one style Obsessive attention to detail. You read your own work out loud before anyone else sees it. You take feedback once and it stays taken. You keep brand guidelines updated; we expect them followed without reminders. Comfortable using AI as a drafting tool, but you know exactly what AI-flavoured copy sounds like and none of it survives your edit Klaviyo familiarity is a bonus but not required - we handle the builds. How this works: Ongoing hourly freelance work, remote, with consistent monthly volume across brands. We move quickly (sometimes 24-48h turnarounds) but we never trade speed for quality. You'll get proper briefs, proper feedback, and brands that are genuinely fun to write for. To apply: Start your application with the word LIGHTHOUSE so we know you read this far.
