Senior Firebase/Flutter developer to finish and launch a mobile dating app

We are an early-stage consumer dating app. The Flutter/Dart mobile frontend is built out (all core screens and flows in place, but not yet hardened or fully tested end to end), currently running on local placeholder data. It was built via an AI app builder (Rocket) with AI-assisted code. We need a senior backend-focused developer to build the Firebase backend, wire it into the app, and help finalize the frontend during integration. The product logic is substantial and already implemented client-side: a single source-of-truth state model drives an active-conversation cap, a state machine (conversation pausing, login-inactivity auto-close), matching/discovery pool rules, and blocking, reporting, and account deletion. The backend work is to make all of this real and server-enforced, not to design it. The frontend, architecture, data model, and product rules are thoroughly documented, including a state-machine spec written as an executable test suite. We are looking for a senior developer (strong Firebase, working Flutter/Dart) with: 3+ years of Firebase: Cloud Firestore (data modeling and security rules), Authentication (Apple, Google, email, SMS), Cloud Functions, Storage, and Cloud Messaging Proven real-time chat experience built on Firestore (live messaging, conversation state, inactivity-based auto-close) Strong Firestore data modeling and security-rules skills (this is also the moderation/safety enforcement layer) Experience shipping secure consumer mobile apps, including user-generated-content safety (server-side report/block handling, content moderation) for App Store compliance Comfort reviewing and hardening existing Flutter code: fixing partially-wired features, edge-case bugs, and untested flows surfaced during integration Proactive, clear communicator who works independently (I am a non-technical founder) Scope: Build the Firebase backend and integrate it into the existing Flutter client, swap local placeholder data for Firestore, photo upload to Firebase Storage (the client already routes storage URLs, so no UI rework needed), real-time chat, push notifications, and server-side enforcement of the matching, moderation, and account-state logic. Frontend finalization is part of the engagement. No AI/ML, Web3, or heavy DevOps/Kubernetes needed.
