Senior Frontend Developer
Worldwide
ABOUT THE ROLE Xyplix is looking for a senior frontend developer to work with us on an ongoing basis across a variety of client, internal, and product-based projects. The work may include client websites, custom web applications, dashboards, portals, internal Xyplix platforms, administrative tools, and future software products. This is intended to be a long-term engagement rather than a short-term or one-off project. We are looking for an individual freelancer who can become a consistent part of our development workflow, learn our systems and standards, and contribute across multiple projects over time. We are not looking for an agency, development company, outsourcing firm, or team of developers. The person submitting the proposal must be the person who will personally complete the work and attend the required weekly calls. We are looking for someone dependable who can consistently deliver polished, secure, production-ready work. You should be comfortable taking a project from an initial idea, design, wireframe, screenshot, or written set of requirements and turning it into a complete, responsive frontend. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON Projects may include: • Client websites and landing pages • Custom business applications • Internal dashboards and administrative platforms • Customer and employee portals • SaaS product interfaces • CRM and project-management tools • Authentication and onboarding flows • API-connected frontend applications • Existing application redesigns and improvements • Bug fixes, maintenance, and performance optimization • New Xyplix products and internal tools RESPONSIBILITIES • Build responsive, modern, and accessible user interfaces • Translate Figma designs, wireframes, screenshots, and written requirements into functional applications • Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components • Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and GraphQL services • Build forms, dashboards, data tables, charts, authentication flows, and complex application workflows • Maintain consistent styling and design systems across projects • Review and improve existing frontend code • Identify and resolve browser compatibility and responsive-design issues • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests • Follow secure coding practices throughout development • Use Git and GitHub for source control, pull requests, code reviews, and collaboration • Manage project dependencies using npm and Yarn • Communicate progress, blockers, and technical recommendations clearly • Help estimate work and identify potential technical issues before development begins • Work independently while collaborating effectively with the rest of the team • Attend required weekly video calls and come prepared to discuss progress, priorities, and blockers • Work across multiple projects and adapt as priorities change REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Applicants must have senior-level frontend development experience and strong knowledge of the following: • React, Angular, or Vue.js • HTML • CSS • JavaScript • TypeScript • Git • GitHub • npm • Yarn • REST APIs • GraphQL • Responsive web development • Component-based application architecture • State management • Secure coding practices • Unit testing • Integration testing • End-to-end testing • API integration • Browser compatibility • Frontend performance optimization • Accessibility best practices You should also be comfortable working with existing codebases, understanding unfamiliar systems, and adapting to the technology being used for each project. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience with any of the following is helpful: • Next.js • Tailwind CSS • Node.js • .NET • PostgreSQL or other relational databases • Microsoft Azure, AWS, or DigitalOcean • OAuth and OpenID Connect • Microsoft Entra ID • Role-based access control • SaaS and multi-tenant applications • CI/CD pipelines • Design systems • Figma • Cybersecurity-focused applications • OWASP secure-development principles WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are not looking for someone who simply completes assigned tickets without thinking critically about the work. We want a developer who can: • Understand the business purpose behind a feature • Ask thoughtful questions when requirements are unclear • Recommend better technical or user-experience approaches when appropriate • Identify design, security, or architecture issues early • Take ownership of assigned projects • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code • Communicate honestly when work is delayed or blocked • Deliver consistently without requiring constant supervision • Handle multiple projects and changing priorities • Work collaboratively through pull requests and code reviews • Communicate clearly during required weekly calls • Learn our systems and standards over time • Become a dependable long-term part of our development workflow The exact framework may vary by project, but the quality expectations will not. ENGAGEMENT DETAILS • Long-term, ongoing freelance contract • Part-time to start, with the potential for additional hours and responsibilities • Consistent work across client projects, internal systems, and Xyplix products • Fully remote • Required weekly video calls for project updates, planning, and collaboration • Work will be managed through GitHub and a project-management platform • Individual freelancers only • No agencies, development companies, outsourcing firms, or teams • The person applying must personally complete the work PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS We do not want AI-generated slop, generic cover letters, or proposals that simply repeat the job description. Your proposal should be personal, relevant, and clearly written by you. A video introduction is required. In the video, briefly introduce yourself, explain your professional experience, discuss the frontend technologies you work with, and explain why you would be a good fit for an ongoing role with Xyplix. You must also provide all relevant work, including: • Portfolio links • Live websites or applications you have worked on • GitHub repositories or code samples, when available • A clear explanation of your personal contribution to each project • Relevant frontend, dashboard, SaaS, portal, or web application experience • Examples involving React, Angular, or Vue.js • Examples involving API integration • Examples involving automated testing • Examples demonstrating responsive design and attention to detail Do not submit team or agency work without clearly explaining which portions you personally completed. Applications from agencies, teams, recruiters, account managers, or representatives applying on behalf of another developer will not be considered. Applications without a video introduction, relevant work examples, or availability for required weekly calls will not be considered.
