Senior Frontend Engineer (TypeScript / Vite / Ionic) – Secure, Fast Delivery

We’re building an EdTech application and are looking for a senior frontend engineer who can ship well built features quickly while following secure, cost-aware engineering practices. If execution and collaboration are strong for this engagement, this can convert into ongoing work. Tech Stack • TypeScript + Vite + Ionic (Capacitor) • Javascript • Azure • GitHub Actions (CI/CD) What We’re Looking for in this first trial Milestone • Proven ability to ship assigned features fast without sacrificing quality • PDF.js experience • EdTech, reader, ebook, or document-heavy application experience • Production experience with TypeScript + Vite + Ionic (required) • Experience consuming .NET APIs • Security-first mindset (auth flows, token handling, least privilege) • Cost-aware engineering (efficient builds, minimal cloud waste, smart tradeoffs) • Comfortable working with partial requirements and moving forward decisively. Please include the following in your proposal: Links to 1–3 production applications you’ve built or shipped (briefly note your role on each) Answer briefly (5–8 sentences max): • How would you implement PDF rendering inside an Ionic application? • How would you structure an OCR reading experience so it feels like a digital textbook rather than raw extracted text? • How would you handle navigation and performance for very large documents? • How would you securely consume authenticated APIs in production? Bonus Please highlight any experience building document readers, PDF viewers, ebook platforms, LMS systems, study tools, or similar applications.
