Senior Full-Stack Developer -- Ruby on Rails/React/AWS Long-Term, Part-Time)

We are a home improvement and flooring services company with a proprietary in-house web application that powers our lead generation, appointment scheduling, project measurement and drafting, and lead/appointment management workflows. The platform is built on Ruby on Rails (API), React (frontend), hosted on AWS, and uses Amazon Redshift as our primary database. The codebase is well-documented, clean, and easy to onboard into. This is a long-term engagement — we're looking for a developer who wants to grow with us, not just complete a task list. What you'll work on: • Ongoing feature development and enhancements to our Rails/React web application • Maintaining and optimizing our Amazon Redshift database and queries • Supporting and extending integrations with third-party SaaS platforms including RFMS (flooring industry ERP), Google APIs (Maps, Calendar), and scheduling/measurement tools • Identifying and resolving bugs, performance issues, and technical debt • Collaborating asynchronously with our internal team, with some overlap during US Eastern business hours You're a great fit if you: • Have 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails and 3+ years with React • Are comfortable working with Amazon Redshift or other columnar/data warehouse databases • Have experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms • Are a self-starter who communicates clearly and proactively — we value transparency over hand-holding • Have a stable remote work setup and experience working with US-based clients • Can commit to approximately 20 hours per week on an ongoing basis Nice to have: • Familiarity with RFMS or flooring/home improvement industry software • Experience with AWS services beyond hosting (S3, IAM, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch) • Background in lead management, CRM, or scheduling platforms To apply, please include: • A brief description of your most relevant Rails/React project • Your experience with Redshift or large-scale database work • Links to GitHub profile or live projects if available • Your availability and timezone • Please include the word RFMS in your opening line
