Senior Grant Strategist & Funding Development Partner | Nonprofit, Government & Business Funding
Worldwide
I'm looking for an exceptional Senior Grant Strategist & Funding Development Partner to become a long-term part of my team. This is not a traditional grant writing position. I'm not looking for someone who simply writes grant applications after I assign them. I'm looking for someone who genuinely enjoys finding funding opportunities, building long-term funding strategies, and helping organizations grow. I want someone who wakes up thinking: "What funding opportunities can I find today?" I'm building multiple organizations, including mission-driven initiatives and for-profit businesses, and I'm looking for someone who can think strategically across the entire funding landscape. This role is about much more than grants. It's about helping build long-term funding systems that support growth for multiple organizations over the coming years. If you're someone who enjoys taking ownership, bringing ideas to the table, and proactively identifying opportunities without waiting for direction, I'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do You'll help build and maintain a long-term funding strategy by identifying, evaluating, organizing, and pursuing funding opportunities across multiple organizations. Responsibilities include: Research federal, state, local, corporate, foundation, and private funding opportunities. Continuously build and maintain a qualified funding pipeline. Recommend which opportunities should be pursued based on strategic fit. Write compelling grant proposals and supporting narratives. Coordinate supporting documentation and submission requirements. Build grant-ready organizational materials. Develop submission calendars and funding roadmaps. Maintain organized funding trackers and dashboards. Identify sponsorships, partnerships, and alternative funding opportunities. Monitor upcoming funding opportunities before they're released whenever possible. Stay informed about new programs, initiatives, legislation, and funding trends. Provide proactive recommendations rather than waiting for assignments. Help build repeatable funding systems for long-term organizational growth. About the Organizations You'll support multiple organizations operating in different industries. Projects may include work involving: Nonprofit initiatives Education Community development Healthcare Transportation Logistics Consumer products Financial education Business development Workforce development Agriculture Economic development Because I'm a young Black woman entrepreneur building multiple organizations, I highly value someone who understands funding opportunities available to nonprofits, women-owned businesses, minority-owned businesses, small businesses, startups, and mission-driven organizations. What I'm Looking For I'm looking for someone who thinks like a strategist—not simply a grant writer. The ideal person: Is proactive. Is highly organized. Takes ownership. Thinks several steps ahead. Makes recommendations before being asked. Enjoys research. Loves solving problems. Understands both nonprofit and business funding. Can prioritize opportunities instead of applying for everything. Is passionate about helping organizations grow. I don't want this to feel transactional. I'm looking for someone who wants to become a trusted long-term partner. Required Experience Demonstrated success securing grants or other funding opportunities. Strong grant research experience. Excellent proposal writing skills. Experience identifying funding opportunities from multiple sources. Strong analytical and research abilities. Excellent written English. Exceptional organizational skills.
