Summary

MILESTONE BASED. I need a senior PCB layout engineer to finish routing and validate an existing 8-layer KiCad PCB for a professional audio/DSP hardware product called MiCROq. The schematic is substantially complete and components are mostly placed. I need the remaining trace connections completed correctly, the layout validated, and the manufacturing package prepared for prototype fabrication. This is not a simple 2-layer board. The board includes mixed-signal audio, power rails, digital control, DSP-related routing, Raspberry Pi/compute-module style integration, clocks, connectors, and sensitive analog/digital separation. Required experience: KiCad PCB layout 8-layer or higher PCB routing Mixed-signal analog/digital layout Audio electronics layout preferred Controlled impedance and differential pair routing Power plane and ground return path design DRC/ERC cleanup DFM/assembly output generation Experience with IPC standards preferred Experience with SHARC DSP, Raspberry Pi CM carrier boards, USB, HDMI, I2S/TDM, SPI, I2C, or similar interfaces is a plus First milestone will be a paid audit of the existing KiCad project. I need a written report identifying layout risks, stackup/netclass issues, routing issues, DRC problems, manufacturability concerns, and estimated work needed to finish the board. Second milestone will be completing the routing and delivering a production-ready prototype package. Deliverables: Updated KiCad project files Completed routing Clean DRC or documented justified exceptions Stackup/netclass review Gerber files Drill files Pick-and-place file BOM review notes STEP file Manufacturing notes Final validation report Please include examples of previous 6-layer, 8-layer, or mixed-signal boards you have completed. Please also explain your process for validating return paths, impedance-controlled nets, power planes, and DFM.
