# Senior QA Lead / QA Automation Engineer for AI-Powered SaaS We are approaching production launch for Claim Commander, an AI-powered SaaS platform serving contractors, estimators, policyholders, and service providers. We need a senior QA professional who can take ownership of our complete testing and production-readiness process. This is not a basic website-testing position. You will lead QA strategy, organize test coverage, coordinate directly with developers, introduce AI-assisted or automated regression testing, and provide a documented go/no-go recommendation for production launch. ## Platform features to test * Web and mobile applications * Authentication, 2FA, account verification, and password recovery * Multiple user roles and permission levels * Multi-company and multi-tenant account separation * Claim creation and claim-management workflows * Policyholder authorization * Document uploads, OCR, AI summaries, and data extraction * Estimates and task management * Google account linking and email synchronization * AI-generated email replies and approval workflows * Claim-specific AI chatbot * Real-time messaging and notifications * Stripe subscriptions, plans, additional seats, upgrades, and failed payments * External service-provider viewer accounts * iOS, Android, and responsive web behavior ## Primary responsibilities 1. Review the application, requirements, and existing testing scope. 2. Create a risk-based master QA plan. 3. Build smoke, regression, end-to-end, permission, integration, and exploratory test cases. 4. Organize and maintain the QA workflow in ClickUp. 5. Test critical workflows personally. 6. Write clear and reproducible bug reports with screenshots or screen recordings. 7. Triage bugs by severity and eliminate duplicates. 8. Coordinate testing and fixes directly with our development team. 9. Retest corrected bugs and run complete regression cycles. 10. Evaluate and implement an affordable AI-assisted test-automation platform. 11. Build automated tests for our most important repetitive workflows. 12. Identify where additional junior or real-device testers are needed. 13. Deliver a final production-readiness report and go/no-go recommendation. ## Required qualifications * At least five years of software QA experience * Previous responsibility as a QA Lead, Senior QA Engineer, or Test Lead * Strong experience testing SaaS platforms * Manual functional and exploratory testing * Web and mobile application testing * Test-case design and release planning * API testing with Postman or a comparable tool * Automation using Playwright, Cypress, or a comparable framework * Regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing * Experience testing role-based access and multi-tenant applications * Strong written and spoken English * Ability to work directly with founders and developers * Experience with Jira, ClickUp, TestRail, Xray, or similar systems ## Preferred experience * Stripe subscription testing * Google OAuth, Gmail, or email-sync testing * AI chatbot and generative-AI testing * AI guardrail and prompt-adversarial testing * Document uploads, OCR, and AI document summaries * Real-time messaging and notification testing * GitHub Actions or CI/CD test integration * Reflect, KaneAI, Momentic, Mabl, Testim, or similar AI testing platforms * Insurance, legal-tech, fintech, restoration, or workflow software * Immediate start * Initial two-week production-readiness sprint * Approximately 20–25 hours per week * Staging environment only * All testing will use synthetic data * Please begin your proposal with the words “QA COMMANDER” so we know you read the complete description.
