Senior Management Consultant — AI-Augmented Client Engagement Contract • 3–4 Week Pilot • Remote • Immediate Start • Long-Term Potential About This Role Astra is an AI-powered consulting and research co-pilot built to help professionals think faster, research deeper, and deliver better work. We are running a structured pilot to develop a repeatable consulting methodology that uses Astra as an integrated tool -and we are looking for a senior consultant to lead it. This is a real client engagement. You will own the project end-to-end: defining the problem, building the framework, conducting the research, and delivering a polished consulting report. In parallel, you will use Astra throughout the process and help us understand precisely where AI accelerates the work - and where it doesn’t. You will work directly with the Founder of Astra, who is personally leading this engagement. The working relationship is collaborative and substantive. For the right person, this pilot is the beginning of a longer relationship as we grow Astra’s impact across consulting engagements. The Opportunity The Pilot (3–4 weeks): Deliver a live client consulting project using Astra as your co-pilot Document the AI-augmented consulting process - what works, what doesn’t, and what a new methodology should look like Work closely with the Founder on both the client deliverable and the methodology development Beyond the Pilot: Strong performance opens the door to a long-term consulting engagement - up to 12 months -leading further client projects on the Astra platform. You will have a meaningful voice in shaping how Astra is used in professional consulting environments. This is a ground-floor opportunity with genuine upside for someone who is energised by doing great work at the intersection of consulting and AI. What You’ll Do Client Engagement — Your Primary Deliverable: Own the full consulting lifecycle: problem identification, analytical framework design, hypothesis development, research, synthesis, and final recommendations Conduct rigorous secondary research and literature review, integrating client-provided information with external sources to build well-grounded, evidence-based conclusions Produce a polished, client-ready consulting report — accurate, clearly structured, and written to a standard you would be proud to put your name on Communicate findings clearly and confidently, both in written deliverables and in regular collaboration with the Founder throughout the engagement AI Methodology Development — A Parallel Track: Use Astra as an active co-pilot at each phase: brainstorming, research acceleration, literature synthesis, hypothesis refinement, and drafting Keep a running log of how Astra shaped your process — where it saved time, where it needed correction, where it added unexpected value Deliver a structured retrospective at the close of the project: a practitioner’s assessment of Astra’s strengths and limitations in a live consulting context, and a recommended process for AI-integrated engagements going forward. How the Engagement Is Structured The project follows a classic consulting workflow, with Astra embedded as a working tool at each stage: 1. Problem Identification — Define the client’s core challenge, scope, and what a successful outcome looks like 2. Framework Development — Structure the analytical approach; identify the right frameworks and questions 3. Hypothesis Formation — Develop working hypotheses to guide research priorities 4. Research & Analysis — Secondary research, literature review, and data analysis — with Astra used as a research accelerator alongside your own independent analysis 5. Synthesis & Recommendations — Integrate all findings into clear, actionable recommendations grounded in evidence 6. Client Deliverable — Final consulting report and supporting materials, delivered to a professional client standard 7. AI Retrospective — A structured debrief on Astra’s role across each phase and a recommended AI-integrated consulting process going forward We will meet regularly throughout the four weeks — typically weekly, with lighter check-ins in between. These sessions are designed to be genuinely useful: reviewing progress, working through any challenges together, and making sure the engagement stays on track. We value open, candid conversation and will bring the same to every meeting. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone with serious consulting experience — someone who has personally led and delivered rigorous client engagements and brings the discipline, judgement, and craft that senior consulting work demands. Required: 6+ years of management consulting experience at a top-tier or Big 4 firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, Accenture, Gartner, IDC, KPMG, IBM, or equivalent) A track record of personally owning and delivering end-to-end consulting engagements, from initial problem framing through to final client report Deep expertise in business strategy, market research, and secondary research comfortable structuring your own research approach from a standing start MBA or graduate degree from a recognised business school Exceptional attention to detail -your analysis is accurate, your reports are clean, and the quality of your work consistently reflects well on you and your clients Excellent written communication - you structure arguments logically, write with precision and clarity, and take pride in producing work that speaks for itself Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you collaborate well, contribute ideas openly, and engage constructively with feedback Highly self-directed -you manage your own time effectively, communicate proactively, and follow through on commitments Preferred: Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar) in a professional research or analytical context. Deliverables Complete client-facing consulting report — findings, analysis, and recommendations, delivered to a professional standard Supporting research documentation and data sources Documented AI-augmented consulting process — a phase-by-phase account of how Astra was used throughout the engagement Final retrospective and recommended methodology — a practitioner’s guide to consulting with AI, grounded in real project experience What You Get Full access to Astra — our proprietary AI co-pilot built for consulting and research professionals. This engagement calls for original thinking, sharp analysis, and the kind of judgement that only comes from real experience. A clear path to continued work: strong performance on this pilot opens the door to up to 12 months of ongoing consulting engagements through the Astra platform.
