Senior Marketing Expert & Right-Hand Operator for Keynote Speaker & Author
Worldwide
About the role I'm an AI keynote speaker and author, and I need a senior marketing expert to own my marketing strategy and execution — not a virtual assistant. If your background is VA work, admin support, or general task execution, this isn't the right fit. I need someone who understands marketing at a senior level and can turn a rough direction into real strategy and output without hand-holding. This is not an assistant role, and I want to be direct about something: I don't need someone who knows what AI can do. Every freelancer on this platform can list ChatGPT and Claude on their profile — that's the baseline now, not a qualification. What I actually need is deep, senior-level marketing expertise: someone who has built campaigns, run strategy, and owned real outcomes. AI is a tool you'll use daily to move faster, not the reason I'm hiring you. What I need from you goes beyond marketing tasks — it's making judgment calls, building real relationships, negotiating, representing me on calls and in rooms I'm not in, and solving problems that don't have a clean, documented answer. When something comes up that's outside your wheelhouse, you don't get stuck — you either solve it yourself or find and manage the right person who can. What you'll actually do Own marketing strategy and execution end to end: newsletter, content, SEO, Webflow CMS, campaigns, brand assets Identify and test new channels to drive inbound speaking inquiries Take my ideas and turn them into real output — I hand you a direction, you run with it and bring back something better than I imagined Handle the operational load beyond marketing: research, vendor and partner outreach, project coordination, whatever the week actually needs Make judgment calls where there's no clear brief — ambiguity is normal here, not an exception When a task needs a specialist you're not, find, vet, and manage a freelancer to get it done — you're the owner of the outcome, not necessarily the executor of every task Bring a weekly point of view: what's working, what's not, what should we try next What I'm looking for This role requires a very specific kind of person. You are a marketing expert, not a generalist assistant. You have real, senior-level experience — agency account management, in-house marketing leadership, or multiple long-term client relationships where you owned the outcome, not just the task list. You get the big picture and execute against it. I don't want to explain the "why" every time — you understand where things are headed and make decisions that move them there. You solve problems, one way or another. If you can do it yourself, you do it. If you can't, you find someone who can and manage them to a result. You do the things AI can't: build relationships, read a room, negotiate, represent me well, and use judgment where there's no clean answer. You are super organized and genuinely get things done — every task has a status, every deadline is tracked, nothing is vague and nothing slips. You don't just coordinate — you own outcomes. You can juggle multiple projects and priorities at once without dropping quality — this is not a one-thing-at-a-time role. You are a builder, not just a manager — you can roll up your sleeves and actually create things: campaigns, workflows, content, assets, processes. You are extremely proactive — you don't wait for direction. You see what needs to happen, make a plan, and execute. You use AI daily as part of how you work — but I'm not hiring you for that. I'm hiring you for marketing expertise AI can't replace. Beyond that: Senior-level marketing background is required — agency account management, in-house marketing leadership, or multiple long-term client relationships where you owned the outcome, not just the task list Comfortable finding, vetting, and managing other freelancers or vendors when a task calls for a different skill set Strong research and writing skills — clear, credible, sounds like a human expert Webflow or similar CMS experience is a plus Basic SEO knowledge required Experience launching a podcast from scratch is a strong plus This is not a VA role. Please only apply if you have direct, senior-level marketing expertise — owning strategy and outcomes for a founder, executive, or personal brand, not just executing a task list. Virtual assistant, admin, or general support backgrounds will not be considered, regardless of AI tool fluency. Hours and setup 20 hours/week to start, with room to grow. This role requires meaningful overlap with US Pacific Time — that's a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have. Open to candidates based in the US, Canada, Latin America, or the Philippines.
