# Senior Mobile App Developer / Technical Lead – iOS & Android | Strong Work Ethics & Project Management Skills ## Please read this job post carefully before applying This job post is detailed for a reason. It describes exactly who we are looking for and what we expect from this cooperation. We are building a large well-being mobile application designed to help people change their perspective, thinking patterns, and approach to everyday life. The project is currently in a confidential pre-launch stage, so we will be able to share more details with selected candidates during private conversations. This is a serious project and potentially a long-term, full-time cooperation with a highly hands-on and engaged female founder. We are looking for someone who is technically very strong and genuinely knows how to develop, maintain, debug, and take responsibility for a complex mobile application. Please be honest with yourself before applying. We are not looking for someone who claims to have skills they do not actually have. We need someone who can enter an existing project, understand the codebase, identify problems, find solutions, and actively develop the application. But technical skills alone are not enough. We are also looking for someone with strong professional ethics and excellent communication skills who is comfortable working directly with a female founder. Due to project delays and limited availability within the current team, caused partly by serious personal and health circumstances, we are looking for an additional technical person who can learn the existing codebase, work with the current team, and become a key technical person for the project. The current agency remains responsible for completing the agreed development work, and one main developer currently has significant knowledge of the codebase. We need an additional strong technical person who can learn the system, actively work on the code, provide technical backup, and potentially take on a long-term role in the project. After launch, the application will require active maintenance, bug fixing, technical support, user support, administration panel management, and further development. This may develop into a full-time, long-term position with close 1:1 cooperation with the founder. We are open to hourly cooperation, a fixed monthly payment, or another long-term cooperation model. ## What we need We are looking for someone who can: * review, understand, and work independently with the existing codebase; * actively develop new features for the iOS and Android application; * investigate and fix bugs and technical issues; * understand the application architecture, backend, APIs, databases, and integrations; * work professionally with the current developer and agency; * become a key technical backup for the project; * provide ongoing technical support and maintenance after launch; * support further product development; * manage technical priorities, tickets, and deadlines; * support and manage the administration panel; * investigate user issues and requests; * communicate technical problems clearly and openly; * support technical and project documentation; * ensure project continuity when another developer is unavailable; * take technical ownership of assigned tasks. ## Technical skills are essential This is not only a project management or support position. You must be a highly competent developer who can independently work with and further develop an existing mobile application. You must be able to: * understand an existing and complex codebase; * independently investigate technical problems; * develop and implement new features; * debug and fix existing functionality; * understand the application architecture, backend, APIs, databases, and integrations; * learn the system well enough to provide reliable technical backup; * take responsibility for the technical quality of your work. Strong technical skills are the foundation of this position. ## Daily responsiveness and communication We need someone who: * checks and responds to messages regularly during agreed working hours; * communicates directly with the founder about progress, blockers, and deliverables; * does not leave important questions about deadlines or deliverables unanswered for hours while actively working on the project; * clearly communicates availability; * informs the team in advance about holidays or planned periods of unavailability; * communicates unexpected unavailability as soon as reasonably possible; * never simply disappears when a problem occurs. We do not expect someone to be available 24/7. We do expect reliable, professional, and transparent communication. ## Strong project management skills You should be able to: * understand priorities; * manage technical tasks; * follow agreed deadlines; * identify blockers; * ask the right questions; * communicate risks early; * clearly explain what is completed, what is not completed, and why; * provide realistic timelines instead of unrealistic promises; * communicate delays before a deadline is missed, not afterwards. ## Accountability This is extremely important. If you commit to a deadline, we expect you to take responsibility for it. If something cannot be delivered on time, we expect immediate and clear communication: * What is the problem? * Why is there a delay? * What is needed to solve it? * What is the new realistic deadline? We do not expect every project to go perfectly. We expect honesty, responsibility, and communication when problems happen. ## Technical, security, and GDPR awareness The application will operate in the European market and process user data. You do not need to be a lawyer or GDPR expert, but you must understand that privacy, data protection, and security requirements are part of professional application development. You must be willing and able to support technical requirements related to: * data security and encryption; * data flows and technical documentation; * third-party providers, SDKs, and APIs; * cloud and server configuration; * European server and data-processing requirements where applicable; * technical verification of Privacy Policy and Terms of Service information; * preparation and maintenance of technical data inventories; * cooperation with external legal or security specialists when necessary. If technical documentation needs to be prepared, data flows or encryption need to be verified, third-party providers need to be documented, or specific infrastructure requirements need to be implemented, we expect you to actively support and complete the required technical work. ## Preferred location and background We are particularly open to candidates from Pakistan because cooperation with the existing development team may be easier. However, strong experience working with European or international clients is highly preferred.
