Senior Mobile App Developer for Wearable Device Integration — iOS, Android, BLE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer to help build and integrate a mobile application with wearable devices. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience connecting mobile apps with wearable hardware, syncing health or fitness data, and working with device APIs, Bluetooth/BLE, and mobile health platforms. The developer will be responsible for implementing reliable device pairing, real-time data synchronization, background data updates, and secure handling of wearable sensor data such as heart rate, steps, sleep, activity, calories, or other biometric metrics. This role is best suited for someone who has previously worked on apps involving Apple Watch, Wear OS, Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung Health, HealthKit, Google Fit, Health Connect, or Bluetooth-enabled wearable devices. Responsibilities - Develop or improve mobile app features for iOS and/or Android - Integrate wearable devices with the mobile application - Implement Bluetooth Low Energy / BLE device pairing and communication - Sync wearable data such as activity, heart rate, sleep, steps, and calories - Work with APIs such as Apple HealthKit, Google Fit, Health Connect, Fitbit API, Garmin API, or Samsung Health - Build reliable background sync and real-time data update features - Ensure secure storage and transfer of health-related data - Troubleshoot connectivity, pairing, syncing, and device compatibility issues - Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product stakeholders - Write clean, scalable, and maintainable mobile app code Required Skillset - Strong experience in mobile app development - Expertise in iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, or Java - Experience integrating wearable devices with mobile apps - Strong knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy / BLE - Experience with HealthKit, Google Fit, Health Connect, Fitbit API, Garmin API, or similar wearable APIs - Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and cloud data sync - Understanding of background services, push notifications, and offline sync - Ability to debug device connectivity and data sync issues - Strong knowledge of app performance, security, and mobile architecture - Experience publishing apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store Preferred Experience - Previous work with fitness, healthcare, wellness, sports, or IoT applications - Experience with biometric or sensor data - Knowledge of HIPAA/GDPR-style privacy requirements is a plus - Experience with Firebase, AWS, Supabase, or similar backend/cloud platforms - Experience with real-time dashboards, charts, or health analytics Project Deliverables - Wearable device integration with the mobile app - Stable device pairing and connectivity flow - Health/fitness data sync from wearable devices - Background data sync implementation - Clean and documented source code - Bug fixing and testing across supported devices - Support for app deployment or release, if needed Mobile App Development iOS Development Android Development React Native Flutter Bluetooth LE Wearable Technology Google Fit Apple HealthKit
