Senior Mobile UI Designer - Figma, cross-platform (iOS + Android), premium dark + gradient craft
Worldwide
We're a consumer language-learning app built in Flutter, shipping on both iOS and Android. Dark theme with gold/amber accents and green reward states. We have an established visual direction and detailed Figma designs, and we need a designer who can execute and extend that system faithfully - keeping the polish, depth, and warmth. What you'll do Design and refine mobile screens in Figma from clear direction and existing components Nail the details: color gradients, glow/depth, hierarchy, satisfying reward/completion moments Design a single system that works cleanly across iOS and Android (you know when to respect platform conventions and when to hold one unified look) Stay true to the system, while bringing taste and 1–2 thoughtful options where it genuinely helps Turn iterations around fast and communicate clearly Must-haves Portfolio of shipped mobile consumer apps (iOS and/or Android) with real visual polish - please link live apps, not just dribbble shots. Please mention number of users on each of these. Expert in Figma - components, auto-layout, variants, clean dev handoff. Excellent eye for color, gradients, contrast, and depth on dark UIs Comfortable designing for cross-platform builds (Flutter experience a strong plus — you understand how designs translate to widgets and where the constraints are) Reliable availability and fast async communication (we move quickly) Fluent written English Nice-to-haves Flutter familiarity (Material 3 / Cupertino, how design maps to implementation) Motion/prototyping (Figma, Lottie, Rive) Gamified / Habit/ Education product experience Design-systems background How we'll work Ongoing, part-time to start, hourly. I share Figma files and tight references. I want a designer who follows direction precisely and flags tradeoffs rather than quietly deviating. To apply Link 2 mobile apps you designed — ideally dark UI with rich color/gradient work. Note which platforms they shipped on and the number of users on each. In 1–2 sentences: when a client gives you a detailed reference design but you think you have a better idea for one screen, how do you handle it? Put the word "gradient" at the very top of your reply so I know you read this.
