Senior Mobile Developer (React Native)

We're looking for a senior mobile developer to help build out a two-sided gig marketplace connecting clients and service providers. You'll be working in React Native, building real features that go straight into people's hands, not busywork, not maintenance mode. If you've spent a decade in mobile development and you know Stripe inside and out, this is worth your time. Responsibilities: ~ You will design, build, and maintain production-ready screens and workflows for both iOS and Android to bring the app to feature parity with our existing web platform. ~ You will implement core user flows including authentication, sign-up, login, password reset, and gig discovery with browse, filter, and search. ~ You will build a real-time in-app messaging interface between clients and service providers. ~ You will integrate the app with our existing infrastructure, including Supabase for database, authentication, and edge functions. ~ You will handle Stripe Connect end-to-end, marketplace payments, onboarding, payouts, and deep linking and OAuth flows for Stripe onboarding redirects. ~ You will manage push notifications for messages, job updates, and payments, camera and media uploads for profiles and verification, and geolocation services for local gig discovery and matching. ~ You will deliver builds that are technically ready for App Store and Google Play submission. We retain full ownership of developer accounts, submission timing, and app metadata, but you'll prepare submission-ready builds and handle technical responses to store review feedback when needed. ~ You will optimize app performance, stability, and memory usage, and write clean, modular, well-documented code with reasonable testing before release. What We Are Looking For ~ You have deep, hands-on experience building production React Native apps for both iOS and Android, not tutorial-level, actual apps that shipped and real users touched. ~ You know Stripe Connect end-to-end. Onboarding flows, marketplace payouts, OAuth, deep linking, all of it. This isn't a nice-to-have, it's a requirement. ~ You've worked with Supabase or a comparable backend-as-a-service setup, PostgreSQL, auth, edge functions. ~ You understand what it takes to build for a two-sided marketplace where trust, verification, and real-time communication actually matter. ~ You're comfortable working independently with a remote team across time zones, and you can take a spec and run with it without needing your hand held. Qualifications: ~ 10+ years of mobile development experience, with solid, demonstrable React Native work. ~ Proven, verifiable experience integrating Stripe Connect in a live marketplace or platform product. ~ Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, or similar backend infrastructure. ~ Experience with App Store and Google Play submission processes. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience. This starts as a part-time contract engagement with a performance review period. Strong performers have a real path to a full-time role with the platform.
