Job description We are hiring an exceptional senior mobile product designer to create the complete iOS and Android UI/UX for a confidential enterprise AI voice assistant. The product strategy, backend architecture, functional requirements, user flows, and API capabilities are already defined. This is not an open-ended discovery assignment, a branding exercise, or a generic chatbot redesign. Your responsibility is to transform a clearly defined product into a world-class, voice-first mobile experience that feels simple, modern, calm, fast, trustworthy, and highly refined. Our quality target is the top 0.1% of mobile AI products. We are not looking for a copy of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or any other existing application. We need an original product identity with best-in-class usability and interaction design. This is a fast, fixed-scope, 72-hour design sprint. You must be able to start immediately and remain available throughout the project. Product experience The application is an enterprise AI assistant supporting both voice and text interaction. The mobile experience includes: Real-time voice conversation Live partial transcription Streamed AI text and audio responses Voice interruption and barge-in Pause, stop, sleep, and finish states Recovery after temporary network loss Conversation resumption Text-based conversations Conversation history and search Source and citation viewing Company documents and knowledge Google Drive connection and document selection Document indexing and synchronization status Business profile and company context Usage measurement and limits Multiple organizations or workspaces Italian and English language support Security, privacy, and account controls Detailed technical documentation will be provided after the contract begins and any required confidentiality documentation is completed. Design scope The agreed scope is: 20 unique primary mobile screens Approximately 22 essential states, overlays, and variants Approximately 42 final Figma frames iOS and Android mobile experiences Small and large phone adaptations Light and dark design systems Production-ready interaction patterns Complete developer handoff The designer should simplify the user experience wherever possible. Several technical states may share the same screen architecture, but every important state must be visibly defined. Required deliverables Information architecture and user flows Define the complete navigation structure and critical journeys, including onboarding, voice conversation, text conversation, Google Drive connection, document synchronization, and account settings. Production-ready high-fidelity UI Design all 20 primary screens and all required states in Figma. Reusable mobile design system Include: Color tokens Typography system Spacing and grid rules Buttons Inputs Cards Navigation Bottom sheets Dialogs Toasts Status indicators Voice controls Audio visualizations Empty states Loading states Error states Icons Light and dark themes Voice interaction system Define visually distinct but consistent states for: Idle Listening Partial transcription Thinking Speaking Paused Interrupted Reconnecting Resumed Completed The voice interface must feel alive and responsive without becoming visually distracting or gimmicky. Clickable prototype The prototype must demonstrate: Authentication and onboarding Starting a voice conversation Switching between voice and text Viewing conversation history Opening a source or citation Connecting Google Drive Viewing document synchronization Accessing usage and settings Motion and interaction specifications Provide specifications for: Voice animation Listening and speaking transitions Streaming text Button feedback Loading behavior Haptic feedback Bottom-sheet behavior Network loss and reconnection Conversation interruption and resumption Developer handoff Deliver: Fully editable Figma source file Named and organized layers Reusable components and variants Auto Layout throughout Design tokens Spacing and sizing specifications Exportable icons and graphics Interaction notes Motion notes iOS and Android differences Final prototype link Application identity assets Include: App icon direction Splash screen Voice visualization style Core visual identity applied consistently throughout the mobile product Design standards The final experience must: Feel premium without unnecessary decoration Use a clear visual hierarchy Minimize the number of steps required for common actions Prioritize one-handed mobile use Make voice the principal interaction without weakening text interaction Work naturally on both iOS and Android Follow Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design principles Support Dynamic Type and scalable text Use accessible contrast Use appropriate touch target sizes Avoid tiny controls and crowded navigation Include screen-reader-ready component behavior Protect sensitive information when the application moves into the background Avoid generic AI gradients, excessive glowing elements, and template-like interfaces Remain realistic to implement in Expo and React Native Proposed navigation The designer may refine the architecture, but the initial product structure should use four clear areas: Pulse Conversations Knowledge Settings The primary voice action should remain highly visible within the Pulse experience. It should not be hidden inside secondary navigation. Timeline You must complete the assignment within 72 hours of project commencement. First 6 hours Review the supplied requirements Confirm information architecture Present the initial visual direction Design the Pulse home screen and live voice experience Establish the initial design tokens By 24 hours Complete the core design system Complete onboarding Complete Pulse home Complete voice and text conversation screens Complete conversation history and source viewing By 48 hours Complete all remaining screens Complete Google Drive and document flows Complete settings, usage, security, and privacy Complete all error, empty, offline, quota, and permission states By 72 hours Complete the clickable prototype Complete iOS and Android adaptations Complete light and dark theme validation Apply final feedback Clean and organize the Figma file Complete developer handoff We will provide fast and consolidated feedback throughout the sprint. The successful candidate must also communicate progress clearly and flag blockers immediately. Required experience You should have: At least five years of professional mobile product design experience A strong portfolio of shipped iOS and Android applications Demonstrable experience with AI, voice, audio, conversational, productivity, or enterprise products Advanced Figma and Auto Layout skills Strong interaction and motion design capability Experience building reusable design systems Understanding of React Native and Expo implementation constraints Strong understanding of Apple and Android design conventions Excellent UX writing and information architecture skills Experience designing loading, offline, permission, synchronization, interruption, and failure states The ability to work independently under a short deadline Beautiful Dribbble images without evidence of complete product flows will not be sufficient. We are looking for someone who understands real product behavior, edge cases, and developer handoff. Independent senior designers and compact design teams are welcome. Large sales-led agencies that delegate the work to an unidentified junior designer should not apply. Quality requirements We will reject: Generic templates Reskinned chatbot interfaces Designs copied from existing AI products Unstructured Figma files Static mockups without interaction logic AI-generated visual concepts presented as final product design Applicants who cannot personally commit to the 72-hour timeline Applicants who cannot show relevant mobile product work All final designs, components, assets, and source files must transfer to the client upon final payment.
