We build custom AI solutions, automations, and integrations for businesses that want to move faster and work smarter. We're growing quickly and the work is real — live client projects, complex integrations, and internal systems that push what's possible with AI tooling right now. We're not a big agency. We're a focused, fast-moving team and every person we bring in has a direct impact on what we ship. --- ## The Opportunity This is a full-time retainer role working directly with me — the founder and Director of Cloud29 AI. You won't be handed off to a project manager or buried in a ticket queue. You'll be working with me day to day, helping turn ideas into reality as fast as possible. That means understanding what I'm trying to achieve, diagnosing the best way to get there, and executing it — often from nothing more than a voice note or a quick message. This isn't just about writing code. It's about making Cloud29 more efficient, more capable, and faster. If you can see a better way to do something, I want to hear it. --- ## What You'll Be Doing - Working directly with me on a daily basis — picking up priorities, turning rough ideas into structured plans, and shipping - Taking briefs in whatever form they come — voice note, short video, a few lines of text — and running with them independently - Picking up and resolving tickets across existing client projects — fixing issues, making sure things are polished and ready ahead of client calls, keeping projects moving without me having to chase - Handling multiple workstreams at the same time — I work across several things at once and I need someone who operates the same way. If you can only focus on one thing at a time, this isn't the right role - Building and maintaining AI-native development pipelines using Claude Code, Cursor, and agentic workflow tools - Helping architect and build internal systems that let the business operate more autonomously — less bottleneck, more output - Integrating with third-party platforms and APIs (Google, Outlook, QuickBooks, Xero, BigChange, Carbon, and others) — reading unfamiliar documentation and implementing end-to-end without hand-holding - Staying visible — I need to know what you're working on, what's done, and what's blocked at all times --- ## What I Need From You - You can diagnose an idea, break it down, and turn it into a working solution fast - You work autonomously — you don't wait to be told every next step - You're immediately productive — there's no long ramp-up period here - You can handle multiple things at once — I don't want a backlog building up because you're heads-down on one task while three others are waiting. Common sense and initiative are essential - You take things off my plate, not add to them — if I have to chase you, that's already a problem - You check in daily and communicate clearly — transparency is everything - You're honest about blockers early, not at the deadline - You think beyond the task in front of you — if something could be done better or more efficiently, you say so - You're comfortable with the reality that briefs won't always be perfectly structured — that's part of the role --- ## Skills & Experience We're Looking For - Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent AI-native development environments - Strong understanding of agentic architecture and multi-agent workflow systems - Solid full-stack development background (Node.js and/or Python preferred) - Experience building and integrating with third-party APIs - GitHub — project boards, issues, PRs, branching workflows - Automation and AI workflow tooling (n8n, Make, MCP servers, or similar) - Someone who's genuinely passionate about what's happening in AI development right now --- ## How to Apply **I don't have time for introductory calls with everyone who applies.
