Senior Power BI & Data Infrastructure Specialist – Executive Analytics Platform

We are an enterprise-grade organisation seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Power BI Consultant to support a short-term contract focused on centralizing our operational telemetry, financial metrics, and CRM data into a clean, single-source-of-truth executive dashboard. The ideal consultant will quickly onboard, map out complex relational data structures (including Dataverse / Dynamics 365 environments and external hardware/API integrations), and engineer optimized reporting models alongside robust automated transformation pipelines. Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline & Architecture: Design, build, and optimize backend ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, clean, and map disparate data sources (CRM, real-time tracking, IoT sensors, and financial spreadsheets) into structured relational schemas (Star/Snowflake). Dashboard Development: Build executive-ready, highly scannable Power BI and Looker Studio dashboards utilizing advanced DAX, M-Code, and high-contrast UI design principles. CRM & Enterprise Integration: Analyze existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse entities and integrate third-party systems via direct REST APIs, webhooks, or SQL endpoints. Performance Optimization: Streamline existing data models to eliminate latency, speed up report rendering times, and implement validation check gates to ensure 100% data accuracy and integrity. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with leadership (including C-suite executives and non-technical stakeholders) to define key business metrics, automated alert parameters, and reporting requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Business Intelligence: Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling) and Looker Studio. Database & Querying: Strong SQL skills and experience designing relational data models and star schemas. Ecosystem Experience: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), Dataverse, or similar enterprise data environments. Pipeline & Automation: Background in automated ingestion, data transformations, and working with custom Webhooks, APIs, or MQTT brokers. Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex, multi-layered data structures into intuitive visual layouts for non-technical leadership. Desirable Experience Exposure to Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse) or cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake). Experience integrating automated workflows (Power Automate, Python scripts). Background in real estate/property management metrics (occupancy, rent collections), corporate finance, or operational hardware telemetry.
