Senior Product Designer — Full UI/UX System for Premium Consumer App (Web + Mobile)

We're a founder-led, self-funded startup building a premium consumer software product in the creative space. We have a working prototype, a complete product vision, and we're now designing the real thing. The specifics are confidential — full product details, brand direction, and prototype access are shared after a signed NDA with shortlisted candidates. We're looking for one senior product designer to own the entire visual and interaction layer: Scope of work: Full design system (typography, color, components, states) for a dark, premium, editorial aesthetic - Marketing website design (5–8 pages) - Complete app UI: onboarding, browsing/selection experiences, real-time chat and collaboration interfaces, media upload states, account/subscription management -High-fidelity, developer-ready Figma files with documented components and interaction specs Direct collaboration with the founders (one is a professional creative director — expect strong, fast art direction and high standards) Must-haves: - 5+ years product design experience with at least two shipped consumer apps in your portfolio (live links required — concept work alone won't qualify) - Proven design system work: you've built and maintained one, not just used one - Strong interaction design: chat interfaces, real-time states, empty/loading/error states - Figma expert with clean, developer-friendly file hygiene Nice-to-haves: - Consumer creative-tool or entertainment product experience - Motion design / prototyping - Experience working alongside AI-assisted dev workflows Engagement: ~8–12 week contract, potential for ongoing retainer as we scale.
