Senior React / React Native Developer for Healthcare Platform

We are looking for an experienced React and React Native Developer to help build and improve a modern healthcare platform available across web and mobile applications. The platform will support patients, healthcare providers, and administrative teams through secure digital workflows such as patient onboarding, appointment management, health data tracking, document exchange, notifications, and communication. We need a developer who can take ownership of both web and mobile development, work with an existing or newly designed backend API, and deliver a stable, scalable, and user-friendly healthcare product. Experience with healthcare applications, HIPAA-sensitive data, telemedicine, patient portals, electronic health records, or regulated software products will be a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities Develop responsive web applications using React and TypeScript Build cross-platform iOS and Android applications using React Native Create reusable components shared across web and mobile where appropriate Integrate applications with REST or GraphQL APIs Implement secure authentication and role-based access Build patient, provider, and administrator workflows Integrate appointment scheduling, notifications, document management, and messaging Implement real-time functionality using WebSockets or similar technologies Maintain clean, testable, and well-documented code Improve application performance, accessibility, and reliability Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning Support application deployment to the App Store, Google Play, and web hosting environments Core Platform Features The platform may include: Patient registration and secure onboarding Provider and patient profiles Appointment scheduling and calendar management Telehealth video or audio consultations Secure messaging between patients and providers Health questionnaires and medical intake forms Treatment plans and care workflows Medication and appointment reminders Health data and progress tracking Medical document upload and management Push, email, and SMS notifications Subscription and payment functionality Administrative dashboard Reporting and analytics Role-based permissions for patients, providers, administrators, and support teams Integration with healthcare systems and third-party services Required Experience Strong commercial experience with React Strong commercial experience with React Native Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript Experience building and publishing production mobile applications Experience with modern React state management and data-fetching tools Experience integrating REST APIs or GraphQL Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile UX Experience with authentication, authorization, and secure session management Understanding of frontend testing and software quality practices Experience with Git, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with product and engineering teams
