Senior UX Researcher & Mobile App Usability Tester

We are looking for a skilled UX Researcher, Mobile App Usability Tester, or Product UX Consultant to audit our Bitcoin purchasing platform and help us improve the full customer experience from account creation to completed purchase. Our company helps customers buy Bitcoin through multiple funding methods, including in-store cash deposits, debit cards, credit cards, ACH, and wire transfers. Because we operate in a high-trust financial environment, every screen, every step, every button, and every message must feel simple, secure, clear, and trustworthy. This is not a basic app testing job. We are looking for someone who understands fintech, crypto, mobile product design, user psychology, trust-building, conversion optimization, and customer friction. The ideal candidate should be able to think like a real customer while also applying strong UX, product, and usability testing experience. Your mission will be to use our platform exactly like a brand-new customer would and identify every point where a user may feel confused, uncertain, delayed, frustrated, or hesitant to continue. We want you to review the full experience and tell us what needs to be improved to make the product easier to understand, faster to use, more intuitive, more trustworthy, more polished, more beginner-friendly, and more conversion-focused. You will audit the full customer journey, including account creation, login, onboarding, identity verification, wallet setup, Bitcoin purchase flow, cash deposit flow, debit and credit card flow, ACH flow, wire transfer flow, confirmation screens, error messages, payment instructions, user dashboard, transaction status updates, trust and security messaging, mobile usability, and overall visual polish. We want clear and honest feedback on where users may get confused, where users may hesitate, where users may abandon the process, where the app creates unnecessary steps, where language is unclear, where trust could be improved, where screens feel outdated or inconsistent, where the design hurts conversion, and where financial or crypto-related steps need more clarity. Expected deliverables include a complete screen-by-screen UX and usability audit, annotated screenshots, clear issue descriptions, explanation of why each issue matters, what the user is likely thinking or feeling, recommended solutions, priority level for each recommendation, quick wins vs. longer-term improvements, conversion optimization opportunities, trust-building recommendations, and examples from strong fintech, banking, or crypto apps when relevant. If helpful, we would also like simple wireframes, sketches, layout suggestions, or before-and-after examples. The ideal candidate has experience with fintech apps, crypto apps, banking products, payment apps, mobile-first products, high-conversion funnels, consumer financial products, UX research, product audits, usability testing, conversion rate optimization, trust and safety flows, and beginner-friendly product design. Experience with apps such as Coinbase, Cash App, Robinhood, Revolut, PayPal, Stripe, Venmo, Chime, or similar platforms is a strong plus. By the end of this project, we want a clear roadmap of what must be improved to make our platform feel simpler, safer, faster, and more polished. Our goal is for the product to feel simple enough for a first-time Bitcoin buyer, but polished and trustworthy enough to compete with the best financial apps in the market.
