About Tuff Pupper Tuff Pupper is an established dog gear brand generating approximately $8M+ annually. Most revenue currently comes from Amazon, but we are actively growing our Shopify direct-to-consumer business. We currently have: ** 70+ active products ** 10–15 new product launches per year ** Approximately 30,000 email subscribers ** Very limited recent campaign activity ** Significant opportunity for list reactivation, segmentation, cleanup, and retention growth ** Dedicated Shopify/CRO support already in place The list has not been consistently marketed to and should be treated as a dormant asset that needs to be rebuilt carefully. Our goal is to turn email into a meaningful revenue channel while increasing repeat purchases, customer retention, and lifetime value. What We Need We are NOT looking for: ** A basic email scheduler ** Someone who waits for instructions ** Someone who simply sends whatever campaigns we tell them to send We ARE looking for: ** Someone who takes ownership of retention marketing ** Someone who learns the product catalog ** Someone who understands seasonality ** Someone who develops campaign ideas ** Someone who asks questions and seeks context ** Someone who proactively recommends what should be promoted and why The successful candidate should have experience with: ** Re-activating dormant email lists ** Gradually rebuilding sending reputation and engagement ** Improving deliverability ** Establishing sustainable campaign cadence ** Building long-term retention systems We are not looking for someone who simply sends promotional emails. We are looking for someone who can help turn an underutilized email list into a meaningful revenue channel. The right candidate should reduce founder workload, not increase it. The Role You will own Klaviyo and retention marketing. What questions would you ask before creating a 90-day campaign calendar? How do you determine which products should receive the most visibility? Describe a situation where you identified an opportunity that the client had not identified themselves. Describe a campaign or retention strategy you are most proud of. Provide examples of brands where you owned Klaviyo, retention marketing, or lifecycle strategy. What would your first 30 days look like at Tuff Pupper? You inherit a 30,000-subscriber list that has received very little campaign activity over the last year. Walk us through exactly how you would: ** Assess list health ** Segment the audience ** Reactivate subscribers ** Protect deliverability ** Build a campaign schedule for the first 60 days Please be as specific as possible. Hiring Process Shortlisted candidates will participate in a strategy interview. We are evaluating: ** Ownership ** Curiosity ** Communication ** Strategic thinking ** Business judgment Technical Klaviyo skills are important, but ownership, initiative, and commercial thinking are equally important.
