Senior SEO Freelancer – Team Training + 2-Month Client Project Support Location: Remote (worldwide) Type: Freelance / Contract Duration: ~2 months (with potential for ongoing work) Start Date: Flexible – ideally next week We are a growing marketing team looking for a senior-level SEO freelancer who can do two things exceptionally well: Educate and upskill our internal marketing team on professional client onboarding processes and ongoing SEO maintenance. Provide hands-on support and execution for one of our client SEO projects over a two-month period. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Education & Knowledge Transfer Lead 3–5 structured training sessions (live or recorded) covering best practices for SEO client onboarding, including discovery calls, audits, strategy development, reporting frameworks, and client communication. Create clear documentation, templates, and processes our team can use going forward for onboarding new SEO clients. SEO Maintenance Guidance Share proven frameworks and workflows for ongoing SEO maintenance (monthly/quarterly optimization, monitoring, reporting, and client retention strategies). Hands-on Client Project Support (2 months) Collaborate with our team to plan and execute a defined SEO project for one of our clients. This may include: Technical SEO audit & recommendations Keyword research & content strategy On-page optimization Internal linking & site structure improvements Performance tracking and reporting setup You will work closely with our marketing team but take ownership of the SEO deliverables for the client project. Requirements5+ years of professional SEO experience (agency or in-house) Strong experience onboarding and managing SEO clients Proven ability to teach and document processes clearly (experience running internal training or creating SOPs is a big plus) Deep knowledge of current SEO best practices (technical, on-page, content, and off-page) Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment Nice to Have Experience creating client-facing templates, checklists, or onboarding playbooks Background in digital marketing agencies Experience with content SEO and/or local SEO What We’re Offering Competitive freelance rate (hourly or fixed project fee – we’re open to both) Clear scope and defined deliverables Flexible working hours Opportunity for ongoing collaboration after the initial 2-month engagement if there’s a good fit
