Senior Salesforce Architect & Developer (B2B SaaS / Odoo Integration) Project Type: Contract / Freelance (Independent Contributors Only — No Agency Middlemen) Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the initial heavy-lifting phase, transitioning to a reduced operational/fractional scope post-launch. Availability: Minimum 4-hour overlap with Munich business hours (CET/CEST) for daily stand-ups and architecture reviews. Language: Business fluent English is mandatory; German is not required. Timeline: Immediate Start (Hiring ASAP) Budget: Competitive rate based on experience About Us & The Project We are an expanding player in the B2B software space, optimizing our commercial engine to better scale our subscription business. This project aims to seamlessly connect our front-end sales motion with our back-end operations, establishing a single source of truth for our customer lifecycle and recurring revenue. The Environment: - Salesforce: Greenfield implementation (completely clean slate). - Odoo: Brownfield environment (existing data and processes). You will collaborate directly with our internal Odoo team/resources; your responsibility ends at the API/middleware layer. - Middleware: You will design the integration architecture. We have a strong preference for leveraging Windmill or n8n. Core Responsibilities 1. Engineering & Integration Architecture (Hands-On Development) - Greenfield Salesforce Customization: Design and implement advanced customizations within a brand-new Sales Cloud environment using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools. - Integration Design: Architect and build the middleware layer using Windmill or n8n to handle data mapping, secure authentication, and real-time syncing with Odoo's APIs. - CPQ Handoff Workflow: Ensure seamless data synchronization where Salesforce acts as the system of record for Opportunities, and Odoo seamlessly takes over for CPQ execution and pushes final quotes back. (Note: Our data model will need to account for standard SaaS complexities like MRR, ARR, and subscription renewals). - Data Migration Architecture: Architect the initial data loading strategy and historical data migration patterns to safely sync Odoo data into Salesforce. You will design the approach and map the fields; we have an internal Data Engineer who will execute the heavy lifting of the data load once the blueprint is clear. 2. Consulting & Operations (Strategy & Governance) - Architecture Recommendations: Act as our primary technical advisor, ensuring the greenfield setup follows strict multi-org best practices and scalable SaaS metrics/data models. - CI/CD & DevOps Consulting: Evaluate and provide a formal recommendation on our DevOps infrastructure—specifically analyzing Gearset vs. a custom GitHub Actions / SFDX pipeline based on our current needs and future scalability. Once agreed upon, you will lead the implementation of this pipeline. - QA System Implementation: Establish a rigorous Quality Assurance framework, including automated testing protocols and code review standards. - Governance & Guidelines: Draft comprehensive documentation, coding standards, and best-practice guidelines for future scalability.
