Senior Software Engineer - Java

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java to help design, develop, and enhance scalable, high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with modern Java development, backend architecture, APIs, databases, and production-grade systems. Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Java applications. - Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. - Develop solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. - Design and work with microservices and distributed systems. - Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-tested code. - Troubleshoot performance issues and production defects. - Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases. - Participate in architecture and technical design decisions. - Perform code reviews and recommend engineering best practices. - Collaborate with our team to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. Required Skills - 7+ years of professional software development experience. - Strong expertise in Java and object-oriented programming. - Extensive experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework. - Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices. - Knowledge of SQL and database design. - Experience with Git and modern software development workflows. - Strong understanding of data structures, design patterns, and software architecture. - Experience writing unit and integration tests. - Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with any of the following is a plus: - AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - Docker and Kubernetes - Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms - PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases - CI/CD pipelines - Maven or Gradle - Hibernate / JPA - Redis - High-volume or distributed applications What We're Looking For We are looking for a senior-level engineer who can work independently, understand existing systems quickly, and contribute to both implementation and technical decision-making.
