Senior Software Engineer – Quark Publishing Platform (QPP) Specialist (Remote) We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with hands-on experience in Quark Publishing Platform (QPP) to support and enhance a long-standing enterprise publishing environment used by a major Australian client. This is a specialist position. Please do not apply unless you have commercial experience working with Quark Publishing Platform (QPP). Applicants without QPP experience are unlikely to be considered. About the Role You will become the primary technical lead for our QPP environment, supporting business-critical publishing workflows, resolving production issues, implementing platform enhancements, and working directly with client stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning enterprise systems, solving complex technical problems, and collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams. Responsibilities Support, maintain, and enhance Quark Publishing Platform (QPP) Investigate and resolve production issues, defects, and platform bugs Maintain publishing workflows and content delivery pipelines Work with XML-based content and structured publishing workflows Develop and maintain Java-based platform components Implement XSLT transformations and XML publishing processes Build and maintain REST API integrations Configure and maintain enterprise publishing environments Support platform upgrades and system enhancements Produce clear technical documentation Work directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve issues Collaborate with an international engineering team Required Skills Commercial experience with Quark Publishing Platform (QPP) Strong Java development experience XML technologies XSLT REST APIs Enterprise software support Troubleshooting and debugging Strong communication skills Ability to work independently Nice to Have Publishing industry experience Content management systems Document automation platforms Enterprise workflow systems Experience with international clients Experience modernizing enterprise applications
