Senior Software Engineer What You'll Do Design and develop application components in Java to maintain existing services and build new ones from the ground up. Work as a back-end engineer inside a tight agile team alongside engineers, PMs, and QA, participating in every phase of the development process. Implement new product features to precise requirements, without cutting corners on quality. Solve real technical and usability challenges daily performance, scale, reliability. Ensure every feature ships with thorough unit, system, and integration test coverage. Provide support and troubleshooting post-deployment. Champion agile principles and a culture of craft. Contribute to the long-term technical vision of the product not just the next sprint. ― What You Bring — 8+ years of commercial software engineering experience. — BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent. — Strong object-oriented design and programming instincts. — Hands-on depth in Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP, and SQL. — Familiarity with message queues, event sourcing, and NoSQL data stores. — Proven experience with Java performance optimization and troubleshooting. — Comfort in Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting. — Experience with Oracle and relational databases — installation, administration, and tuning. — Experience with application servers and the full software development lifecycle. — Confidence working across CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. — Strong problem-solving instincts and clear communication. ― Bonus Points — Experience with IntelliJ, JUnit, or JUnitPerf. — Familiarity with WebLogic application server. — Background in healthcare applications. — Deep experience with SOAP web services. — Database performance tuning at scale.
