Senior QA Tester — Manual QA Pass on Restaurant Ordering Platform (Dashboard + Storefront)
Worldwide
We run a multi-tenant restaurant ordering and catering platform with two main web applications: - Owner/staff dashboard — restaurant owners manage menus, orders, promotions, catering, staff, and integrations (POS systems, delivery). - Customer-facing storefront — diners browse menus, place orders, check out, and manage catering requests. Available in English and Spanish. We need a senior QA tester to run a structured, end-to-end manual QA pass across both applications before a release. We already have detailed written test plans (~340 test cases for the dashboard, plus dedicated sections for storefront language switching and catering flows) and a pre-configured test tenant with sample data — you won't be starting from scratch. Scope of Work - Execute our existing QA test plan against a staging/dev environment (credentials and test data provided). - Cover both applications: admin dashboard and customer storefront. - Test core commerce flows: menu browsing, cart, checkout, order status updates, promotions/discounts, catering inquiries and quotes. - Test the English/Spanish language toggle on the storefront. - Test responsive behavior (desktop + mobile browser). - Log every bug with clear repro steps, expected vs. actual behavior, screenshots/screen recordings, and severity (blocker/high/medium/low). - Do a pass of light exploratory testing outside the written test cases to catch anything the plan doesn't cover. - Deliver a single consolidated bug report (spreadsheet or your preferred tracker format) at the end of the engagement. - What We're NOT Asking For (this round) - No test automation / scripting (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.); this is a manual QA pass. Ideal Candidate 4+ years of professional QA experience, ideally on e-commerce, marketplace, or ordering/delivery platforms. Comfortable following a structured written test plan while also using judgment to explore edge cases. Strong, clear bug-report writing; we care a lot about repro steps being tight enough that a developer can act on them without follow-up questions. Experience testing multi-language (i18n) products is a plus. Available to turn around the full pass within an agreed window (we'll agree on a timeline at kickoff). Budget & Structure This is a fixed-price contract for one complete QA pass (dashboard + storefront). We estimate the scope at roughly 40 hours of testing work; split into milestones (e.g., dashboard testing → storefront testing → final bug report). Please propose your fixed price based on the scope above; we're open to adjusting milestones together. If this goes well, there's strong potential for an ongoing relationship doing QA on future releases.
