Senior WebRTC / LiveKit Developer Needed– Video Platform

We are building a next-generation interactive video platform for live events, webinars, and virtual conferences. Our platform needs to support up to 5,000 concurrent viewers with real-time chat, screen sharing, and live polling. We have a partial implementation using LiveKit and need a senior WebRTC developer to complete the platform and prepare it for production deployment. What you'll do: - Complete the LiveKit room management system (create, join, close rooms) - Implement custom server-side plugins for moderation, recording, and streaming - Build a scalable WebRTC SFU architecture with livekit-server - Optimize media routing for large rooms (50+ participants) - Implement HLS egress for browser-based viewers - Set up monitoring and alerting for stream quality metrics - Integrate with existing authentication system (JWT-based) - Deploy to production on GCP/AWS Required skills: - Deep experience with LiveKit and WebRTC - Strong Go or Python backend development - Understanding of SFU/MCU architectures - Experience with livekit-egress and livekit-ingress - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Nice to have: - Experience with FFmpeg and video processing - Knowledge of Janus or mediasoup - Experience with Kubernetes/Docker - Previous work on live streaming or video conferencing platforms
