WordPress Operations Support Contractor | Elementor + Technical SEO + QA Description We are looking for a skilled WordPress Operations Support Contractor to provide recurring support across WordPress website maintenance, website updates, QA, analytics/tracking implementation, and technical SEO support for a fast-moving digital operations and marketing team. This is a remote freelance contractor opportunity intended for someone who already has experience working inside WordPress environments, implementing website updates accurately, troubleshooting issues, supporting SEO implementation tasks, and maintaining clean operational workflows. The ideal contractor is detail-oriented, responsive, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with project managers, SEO specialists, and recurring client deliverables. This role supports ongoing website operations and technical SEO implementation across multiple client accounts. Scope of Work The contractor may support website operations by: • Building, updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting WordPress websites using Elementor and related tools/themes • Supporting service pages, location pages, landing pages, blog pages, and recurring website content updates • Managing website edits including layouts, navigation updates, redirects, popups, banners, images, and content changes • Supporting staging → QA → deployment workflows • Maintaining clean, organized, and manageable WordPress site structures • Implementing technical SEO updates as directed, including metadata, headings, internal links, redirects, image optimization, sitemap updates, schema markup, and page speed improvements • Adding and validating structured data/schema including breadcrumb, local business, FAQ, service, and review schema • Setting up, validating, and troubleshooting GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook tracking, form tracking, and website conversion events • QA testing website updates across desktop/mobile responsiveness, links, forms, layouts, tracking, SEO elements, and schema implementation • Publishing blogs and updating website content as needed • Creating or improving SOPs, QA checklists, and repeatable operational processes • Reviewing website implementation work and providing clear QA notes, corrections, or recommendations when needed • Communicating progress, blockers, and updates clearly in a remote work environment Best Fit This opportunity is a strong fit for someone who has: • Strong WordPress development and maintenance experience • Strong Elementor experience • Experience working with WP Engine or managed hosting environments • Working knowledge of technical SEO implementation for WordPress websites • Experience with structured data/schema markup, redirects, metadata, headings, internal linking, and page speed optimization • Experience setting up or troubleshooting website analytics and conversion tracking • Strong QA mindset and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage recurring operational tasks • Clear written communication and responsiveness in remote environments • Experience working inside agencies or recurring client-service environments is a plus Contract Structure This is a remote independent contractor opportunity managed through Upwork. Work may be assigned on a task-based, hourly, or project-based basis depending on workload, scope, and availability. This role is intended to support a long-term working relationship for the right fit, with recurring website operations work available across multiple client accounts. Compensation will be based on experience, capabilities, communication, responsiveness, and overall fit. Contractors will manage their own schedule, though some overlap with standard U.S. business hours is preferred for communication and collaboration.
