Summary

This is a hands-on, project-based engagement for a mid-level service and repair engineer who is energized by getting to the bottom of a problem. The successful candidate takes ownership of the CALIFIA repair backlog in the company's Service & Repair Depot: receiving returned units, reproducing reported failures, running disciplined diagnostics, and isolating each root cause to hardware, software, or the communication between them - then repairing or coordinating the fix and using QA testing protocols to validate the repair before the unit ships back. Equally central to the role is what gets left behind. The engineer documents repair procedures and troubleshooting logic clearly, establishes repeatable service processes where today's are informal, and transfers that knowledge to internal staff so the team can support repairs and ensure parts availability. In short, this role both clears the work in front of it and builds the capability that outlasts it. Who You'll Work With Reporting Line This role reports to the Operations Manager, who oversees parts, supply availability, and the relationship with the company's contract manufacturing partner in Germany. Because the Operations Manager is not based on-site, this role demands exceptional written documentation and proactive, structured communication. Repair findings, parts and supply needs, and project status must be captured clearly enough to be understood and acted on remotely, without relying on in-person conversation. Attention to detail here is not a nice-to-have - it is how the operation runs.
