Shenzhen-Based Bilingual Business Liaison — Mandarin/Cantonese/English

We are looking for a reliable bilingual local assistant based in Shenzhen to help an international company with telephone calls, introductions, appointments and general business coordination. This is a practical support role. We are not looking for a senior consultant, investment banker or financial adviser. Initial tasks will include: * Calling selected companies and organisations in Shenzhen; * Referring to emails and documents that we have already sent; * Confirming that the correct department received our information; * Finding the appropriate contact person; * Asking whether that person speaks English; * Obtaining names, positions, direct telephone numbers, WeChat contacts and email addresses; * Arranging telephone calls, video meetings or local appointments; * Following up by telephone, WeChat and email; * Providing short written updates in English; * Assisting with Mandarin/Cantonese–English communication when necessary. If the initial cooperation is successful, the role may later include practical assistance with local company procedures, appointments, suppliers, service providers and other administrative matters in Shenzhen. Requirements: * Currently living in Shenzhen or the immediate surrounding area; * Fluent spoken Mandarin; * Good spoken Cantonese; * Good spoken and written English; * Confident and professional on the telephone; * Comfortable contacting companies and organisations directly; * Familiar with WeChat and normal Chinese business communication; * Reliable, organised and persistent; * Able to attend meetings in Shenzhen if required; * Available during normal Chinese business hours. No specialist financial or legal qualifications are required. Experience as an administrative assistant, office assistant, customer-service representative, translator, appointment setter or local business coordinator would be suitable.
