Ship a Live Multiplayer Poker-RPG on Steam, AI-Accelerated, Hourly + Rev Share
Worldwide
This is an EXTRMELY unique opportunity, please read it all. We're looking for someone to take ownership of Heroes of Hold'em — a fully built, live multiplayer poker-RPG — and drive it across the finish line to Steam launch. This is not a concept or a prototype. The game runs on a live server and is playable end-to-end today. We need the right person to harden it, polish it, ship it — and then grow it with us. We tried the Web3 route and it just didn't work (Web 3 is dead), so we need to pivot to Web2 (Steam). About the game Heroes of Hold'em is poker meets RPG: real Texas Hold'em at its core, wrapped in an RPG layer — playable hero classes, abilities and spells, minions, equipment, and special modes including PvE boss events, booster drafts, and tournaments. It's a genuinely original spin on poker, and it already works. Where it stands Multiplayer client and server are live and functional Multiple game modes working: tournaments, sit-n-gos, booster draft, PvE boss events Currently on an internal Steam test build — close to launch-ready, needs a focused finishing push (This is the web2 version that's internal). There is a web3 version that is fully playable as well at heroesofholdem.com. What you'd own Technical ownership of the existing codebase Stability hardening, remaining bug fixes, and UX polish Steam integration and release: Steamworks SDK, achievements, builds, depot/store setup Post-launch maintenance and new feature development (we have a full roadmap of player-facing features ready to build). NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A CODER TO DO THIS. We have everything setup on Codex (ChatGPT 5.6) and it's been doing fine for most upgrades we want. I can walk you through it. How we work We develop with AI-assisted workflows (ChatGPT 5.6 Sol and similar tools) and it's a big part of how a small team ships fast. You should be fluent at using AI to accelerate development — and senior enough to review, correct, and own everything it produces. If you see AI tooling as a force multiplier rather than a threat or a crutch, you'll fit right in. Compensation Hourly rate for all development time, plus An ongoing percentage of net Steam revenue You get paid for your hours and share in what the game earns. We want someone who treats this like their own product — this is a long-term partnership, not a one-off gig. The upside is real because the product is real. You're a great fit if you Have shipped and operated real multiplayer / live-service games — Steam launch experience strongly preferred Can take over an existing codebase and make it better, fast Use AI coding tools effectively and know their limits Move independently, communicate clearly, and flag problems early Want skin in the game, not just an hourly ticket Why do we need someone: To put it bluntly, we have worked on this (team of 2) for the better part of 4 years. We made a REALLY fun and addicting game for the web3 space. Poor timing in the crypto world led us to switch to Web2. It's just consumed our lives for so long, we need a fresh set of eyes.
