We're looking for a part-time Shopify E-Commerce Manager to help oversee the ongoing operation, maintenance, and improvement of our e-commerce website. ROLE OVERVIEW The Shopify E-Commerce Manager will take ownership of day-to-day website operations and help ensure our Shopify store remains accurate, functional, well-merchandised, and optimized for conversion. This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently manage site updates, build and revise pages, oversee Shopify apps and integrations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical improvements to the customer experience. The role is expected to require approximately 10-15 hours per week, although hours may fluctuate based on launches, promotions, and website projects. RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage day-to-day updates within Shopify, including products, collections, navigation, pricing, promotions, and merchandising * Build, update, and maintain landing pages, product pages, collection pages, and other website content * Make front-end theme updates using Shopify’s theme editor and, when necessary, HTML, CSS, Liquid, or JavaScript * Manage Shopify apps and integrations, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance * Coordinate website changes related to product launches, promotions, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives * Identify and resolve website errors, broken links, formatting issues, and customer-experience friction * Monitor site functionality across desktop and mobile devices * Recommend and implement improvements that support conversion rate, usability, site speed, and overall performance * Maintain consistent site structure, branding, and merchandising standards * Work with internal marketing, creative, operations, and customer-experience team members to complete website projects * Communicate clearly about project status, technical limitations, risks, and recommended solutions * Help document website processes, configurations, and recurring maintenance needs QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of hands-on Shopify experience in an e-commerce environment * Experience managing Shopify products, collections, navigation, discounts, themes, and apps * Ability to build and edit Shopify pages without relying entirely on a developer * Working knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript * Experience troubleshooting Shopify themes, apps, integrations, and storefront issues * Strong understanding of e-commerce merchandising, conversion principles, and customer experience * Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize work based on business impact * Strong attention to detail and quality control * Clear written communication and reliable project follow-through * Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time contractor role PREFERRED EXPERIENCE * Shopify Plus experience * Experience with page builders such as EComposer * Familiarity with Klaviyo, subscription platforms, analytics tools, and other common Shopify integrations * Experience supporting consumer products, health and wellness brands, or regulated product categories * Experience improving site speed, conversion rate, mobile usability, or checkout performance * Familiarity with Figma and translating approved designs into Shopify pages TO APPLY Please include: * A brief overview of your Shopify experience * Examples of Shopify stores or projects you have managed * A description of the types of Shopify work you typically handle directly * Your experience with Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify apps * Your weekly availability and typical working hours * Your hourly rate * One example of a Shopify operational or conversion issue you identified and resolved
