Shopify Data & API Team Member

Shopify Data & API Team Member Overview We are seeking a Shopify Data & API Team Member to support multiple customer stores and marketplace integrations. This role focuses on managing product data, API connections, metafields, vendor imports, and marketplace synchronization. The ideal candidate can work across Shopify, supplier data sources, and marketplaces such as eBay to ensure accurate product information flows throughout the entire ecosystem. Responsibilities Maintain existing Shopify API integrations. Expand and manage Shopify metafields and product attributes. Map product data from vendor sources into Shopify. Map product data from Shopify to eBay and other marketplaces. Create new API connections and integration applications as needed. Work with product managers to ensure complete product specifications and attributes. Work with Shopify developers to ensure proper categorization, taxonomy, collections, and attributes. Troubleshoot data mapping and synchronization issues. Improve automation and reduce manual data-entry processes. Document workflows and integration requirements. Preferred Experience Shopify Admin API and GraphQL API. Product data mapping and transformation. Shopify metafields and custom attributes. eBay API integrations and marketplace synchronization. JSON, CSV, XML, and API data structures. Product information management (PIM) concepts. Marketplace integrations and feed management. Inventory and catalog synchronization. Screening and Qualification Process Up to five candidates may be selected to complete a paid qualification project. Each candidate may be assigned a similar task for a different customer store. This is a paid screening process designed to evaluate technical ability and overall fit. Candidates will be evaluated on: Quality of work delivered Communication and responsiveness Understanding of business requirements Solutions proposed Technical architecture and design decisions Documentation and organization Ability to work independently Based on performance, communication, proposed solutions, and architecture, candidates may be advanced to ongoing projects or removed from consideration.
