# Shopify Developer – Custom Product Page (PDP) Hero Section ## About Us Jack Henry is a premium modern self-care brand focused on clean, high-performance hair, skin, body, and fragrance products. We're redesigning our Shopify storefront to feel more like an editorial luxury brand than a traditional ecommerce website. We're looking for an experienced Shopify developer to build a custom Product Detail Page (PDP) Hero section that will become the foundation for every product page across our website. This is not a full website redesign. We already have the visual direction, mockups, and theme. We need someone who can build a polished, production-ready Shopify section. --- ## Project Overview Build a custom Online Store 2.0 Product Hero inspired by brands like: * Norda * Byredo * Apple * Aesop The experience should feel premium, minimal, fast, and highly interactive while remaining extremely clean. --- ## Layout Desktop: • Large product image/gallery on the left (approximately 65–70%) • Floating purchase card on the right (approximately 30–35%) The purchase card should include: * Product title * Product badge (Best Seller, New, etc.) * Short product description * Variant selector * Price * Add to Cart button * Product detail links * Shipping & Returns * Optional routine builder module The purchase card should feel like it is floating above the page rather than built into a standard Shopify layout. --- ## Functionality Everything must connect natively to Shopify. Requirements include: * Shopify product data * Variant picker * Dynamic pricing * Compare-at pricing * Inventory support * Add to Cart * Dynamic checkout compatibility * Product media gallery * Variant image switching * Theme editor compatibility * Responsive desktop and mobile layouts No hardcoded products. Everything should be fully dynamic. --- ## Theme Editor Settings The section should be easily customizable inside Shopify. Examples include: * Card position * Card size * Card opacity * Background color * Border radius * Shadow * Padding * Typography * Image scaling * Desktop & mobile spacing * Button styles --- ## Motion We want subtle premium interactions similar to Apple or Norda. Examples: * Smooth image transitions * Variant change animations * Subtle hover effects * Light parallax movement * Soft opacity transitions Nothing flashy. Performance is more important than animation. --- ## Technical Requirements Must use: * Shopify Liquid * CSS * Vanilla JavaScript No page builders. No unnecessary apps. No bloated code. Code should be clean, modular, documented, and easy to maintain. --- ## Deliverables * One custom Online Store 2.0 Product Hero section * Responsive desktop & mobile layouts * Theme editor compatibility * Clean Liquid, CSS & JavaScript * Production-ready code * QA and bug fixes before completion --- ## Ideal Experience Please apply only if you have experience building custom Shopify themes and Online Store 2.0 sections. If you were recreating the Norda-style product page hero, what would be the biggest technical challenge and how would you solve it? --- **Important:** We are not looking for someone to redesign the page. The design direction is already established. We need an experienced Shopify developer who can faithfully build the provided mockups into a polished, production-ready section. If this project goes well, there will be ongoing work building additional custom Shopify components across the rest of the website.
