Shopify Developer & Marketing Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Shopify developer and marketing automation specialist to design and implement a customer personalization system that replicates the in-person product recommendation experience online. The ideal candidate will help us create interactive assessments that guide customers toward products, bundles, and self-care routines tailored to their scent preferences, wellness goals, and product interests. This is Phase 1 of a 3-Phase project. Technical Requirements The solution should: Integrate with Shopify Integrate with Klaviyo Capture email addresses Capture SMS opt-ins Create customer profiles Apply customer tags and segments Trigger automated Klaviyo flows Display personalized recommendation pages Be scalable for future assessments Preferred Approach We are open to using existing Shopify-compatible quiz platforms initially (such as Octane AI, Quiz Kit, Lantern, etc.) if they provide: Ownership of customer data CRM integration Klaviyo integration Scalability Ability to customize logic and scoring Deliverables The selected freelancer will: Recommend the best technology solution Design quiz architecture Build scoring logic Configure recommendation rules Integrate with Shopify Integrate with Klaviyo Configure customer segmentation Create automated marketing flows Test all functionality Provide documentation and training We are interested in future migration toward a more custom recommendation engine and would like recommendations on the best long-term architecture.
