Worldwide
Overview We are a Shopify store in the recommerce space. We've completed a technical SEO audit and identified three related, high-priority fixes with the goal of increasing organic search visibility. We're looking for a Shopify theme developer who's comfortable with Liquid and JavaScript, and who fully understands technical SEO, not just general theme customization. Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands on experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, theme architecture, Online Store 2.0 sections) - Solid JavaScript, including comfort with the browser History API - Real technical SEO expertise: the ability to independently audit a site for crawlability, indexation, and structured data issues, not just implement fixes someone else has already diagnosed - Experience shipping changes to a live, high traffic Shopify store without disrupting the customer facing experience - Comfortable testing changes in a staging store before moving them to production - Bonus: prior experience fixing infinite scroll/pagination crawlability issues specifically - Bonus: experience working with retail or e-commerce brands Deliverables - Crawlable pagination implemented across all collection pages, with no visible change to the infinite scroll UX - Canonical and noindex, follow handling implemented on faceted filter URLs - Linked brand name field added to product page template, populated wherever a matching brand collection exists - Brief written summary of what was changed and where, for our records Timeline We'd like this scoped and completed within 4 to 6 weeks of kickoff. Please note your estimated timeline in your proposal. Future Work This is the first phase of a larger technical SEO roadmap for the site. If this engagement goes well, there are several additional, well scoped items we'd like to bring the right developer back for. We're looking to build an ongoing relationship with a developer who does good, careful work here, not just a one off fix. To Apply Please Include: - Relevant Shopify projects you've worked on (links if public) - A brief note on how you'd approach the infinite scroll pagination fix specifically - Your availability and estimated timeline
