Shopify Expert Needed for Ecommerce Rebrand, Website Redesign & Migration We are looking for an experienced **Shopify expert / Shopify developer** to help redesign, rebuild and restructure an existing ecommerce website as part of a full business rebrand. The current store is built on Shopify and sells aftermarket 4WD / automotive products. The business is rebranding and expanding its product range, so we need someone who can help create a cleaner, more scalable Shopify structure that can support both **vehicle-specific products** and a large range of **universal 4WD, power, solar, battery, camping and touring products**. This is not just a simple theme refresh. We need someone who understands Shopify structure, collections, navigation, product data, filtering, SEO migration and ecommerce conversion. ## Project Scope We need help with: * Shopify website redesign for the new brand * Rebuilding the navigation and mega menu structure * Creating a scalable collection structure * Setting up automated collections * Setting up product metafields and product types properly * Improving product filtering and search experience * Supporting both vehicle-specific products and universal products * Migrating existing content/products to the new structure * Setting up SEO-friendly URLs where possible * Managing 301 redirects from old URLs to new URLs * Updating homepage and collection page layouts * Improving product page layout for better conversion * Making the site easy for the client to manage long-term ## Key Website Structure Required The new website needs to support a category-first ecommerce structure similar to major 4WD / camping / power product stores. Main navigation may include categories such as: * Power & 12V * Solar * Camping & Touring * Communications & Electronics * Vehicle Parts * Bundles & Kits * Shop by Vehicle * New Arrivals * Sale / Clearance * Fitment Help The website also needs to support vehicle-specific browsing for products such as doors, bonnets, guards, tubs, suspension, drivetrain parts and model-specific accessories. Examples: * 60 Series Parts * 75 Series Parts * 79 Series Parts * Hilux Parts * Patrol Parts * Ranger Parts ## Product Data & Collection Setup We need someone who can help set up a proper Shopify backend structure using: * Shopify Product Category * Product Type * Product Department * Vehicle Make * Vehicle Model * Vehicle Series * Fitment Position * Freight Type * Tags where appropriate The goal is for products to automatically appear in the correct collections where possible. Example: If a product is marked as: * Product Department: Vehicle Parts * Product Type: Doors * Vehicle Series: 79 Series It should automatically appear in collections such as: * Vehicle Parts * Doors * 79 Series Parts * 79 Series Doors If a product is universal, such as a lithium battery, solar panel, fridge freezer or recovery accessory, it should sit inside the relevant category collection rather than being forced into a vehicle-specific structure. ## Important Requirements The ideal person should have experience with: * Shopify 2.0 themes * Shopify collections and automated collections * Shopify metafields * Shopify Search & Discovery filters * Mega menu setup * Product page templates * Ecommerce UX and conversion optimisation * SEO migration and 301 redirects * Google Merchant Center / Shopping feed structure * Large product catalogues * Automotive, 4WD, camping, outdoor, electronics or parts-based ecommerce stores Experience with Shopify product feeds, Google Shopping, Performance Max campaign structure or custom labels would be a bonus. ## Deliverables We are looking for help with: 1. Reviewing the current Shopify store setup 2. Recommending the best site structure for the rebrand 3. Setting up the new theme / design structure 4. Creating the new navigation and mega menu 5. Setting up collections and automated collection logic 6. Setting up essential metafields and product data structure 7. Creating or improving product page templates 8. Creating or improving collection page templates 9. Supporting SEO migration and redirects 10. Testing the new website before launch ## What We Are Looking For We want someone who can think strategically, not just build pages. You should be able to explain the best way to structure the Shopify store so it is easy for customers to navigate and easy for the business owner to manage when adding new products in the future.
