Summary

We run a small Shopify store. Two active products, a few variants, simple store. A previous agency left behind some messy product architecture that needs to be cleaned up carefully. We use Recharge for subscriptions. This is the most critical part of the job. If you have not worked hands-on with Recharge please do not apply. Important context on scope: We have approximately 100 total subscribers. Only about 5 are tied to the duplicate listing that needs to be migrated. This is a small, focused job — not a large complex migration. We expect the full scope to take 8-12 hours for someone experienced. Here is the exact scope: ONE — Duplicate product cleanup and Recharge migration We have two separate Shopify product listings for the same item. The duplicate was created by a previous agency and has a small number of active Recharge subscriptions tied to it — approximately 5 subscribers. You need to: Audit active Recharge subscribers tied to the duplicate listing Migrate those subscribers safely to the main listing in Recharge Set up a 301 redirect from the duplicate product URL to the main product URL so old links and bookmarks still work Remove the duplicate from all sales channels including the Shop app Draft the duplicate listing only after all subscriptions are migrated and redirect is confirmed Nothing can break. Active subscribers must continue receiving their orders without interruption. TWO — Separate one variant into its own product Our new product is currently a variant inside our main product. It needs to become its own standalone Shopify product with: One variant — Aura / Single Pouch — priced at $26.95 Recharge subscription options correctly configured on the new standalone product Published to all correct sales channels Any existing Mini subscribers in Recharge migrated to the new standalone product THREE — BOGOS.io cart upsell Once the Mini is its own standalone product configure a cart upsell in BOGOS.io: Trigger: main product in cart Upsell product: new product standalone product Discount: 37% off bringing price to approximately $17 Display location: cart page only — not homepage or product page The offer copy, pricing, and image are already written and configured. Just needs correct product assignment and confirmation it displays properly in the cart. FOUR — Fix product visibility, collections, and Google indexing Draft and inactive products are currently appearing in our store search results and collection pages when they should not be visible to customers. Google is also indexing rogue collection pages like collections/products and collections/home-page that should not be publicly accessible. You need to: Audit all collections and remove draft and inactive products from any public facing collections Ensure rogue collection pages are either deleted or set to noindex so Google stops crawling them Confirm that when a customer searches the store or removes an item from their cart only active intended products appear Confirm that Google search results for our brand no longer show these rogue collection pages FIVE — Inventory tracking Set up basic inventory tracking so our numbers are accurate across all active products. We do not currently track inventory in Shopify accurately. Just needs to be set up cleanly so we have real numbers going forward. Rules: Send us a written plan detailing every change before you touch anything We approve every change before it happens No exceptions Do not subcontract this work — we need the person we hire to be the person doing the work We are a small founder-led brand. We care deeply about our store and our customers. We need someone careful, communicative, and precise — not someone who moves fast and breaks things. Every change must be tested before it is considered done.
