Shopify Inventory & Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist — Full-Time We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Inventory & Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist to support the Australian and New Zealand ecommerce operations of a leading global lifestyle brand, This is a full-time, long-term contract covering: Ecommerce inventory accuracy Shopify product management Inventory and trading reports Onsite merchandising Cross-functional communication We need someone who combines strong Shopify capability with excellent communication, consistency and ownership. This is not a general VA or basic data-entry position. Contract details Rate: US$7 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Weekly earnings: US$280 Schedule: Monday to Friday during Australian business hours Engagement: Full-time, long-term contract The advertised rate is fixed. Please only apply if you can commit to the schedule and compensation. Responsibilities Maintain accurate stock-on-hand information in Shopify. Assist with inventory reconciliation between Shopify and SAP. Monitor sell-through, weeks of cover, aged stock, out-of-stocks and overstock. Investigate inventory discrepancies and follow them through to resolution. Maintain recurring inventory health and exception reports. Create and enrich Shopify product listings. Manage descriptions, imagery, specifications, tags, metafields and categories. Assign products to the correct collections and merchandising rules. Maintain accurate filters, navigation and collection structures. Manage product sequencing and collection sorting. Support weekly and monthly ecommerce trading reporting. Identify stock risks, commercial opportunities and data-quality issues. Support launches, promotions and seasonal product updates. Help improve and automate recurring reports. What matters most Shopify experience You must have practical experience managing products, collections, tags, metafields and onsite merchandising inside Shopify. Inventory and reporting capability You must be comfortable analysing large product datasets, identifying discrepancies and producing accurate recurring reports. Communication and consistency You’ll work remotely with multiple Australian stakeholders. Clear communication and dependable follow-through are non-negotiable. We need someone who raises issues early, keeps stakeholders updated and can be trusted to complete recurring responsibilities correctly and on time. Essential skills Hands-on Shopify product and merchandising experience. Ecommerce inventory, stock-reporting or product-administration experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent written and spoken English. High attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to manage competing priorities independently. Availability during Australian business hours. Desirable experience SAP or another inventory ERP. Fashion, apparel, footwear, accessories or lifestyle products. Multi-channel inventory management. Shopify applications and advanced metafields. Automated reporting, BI or data visualisation. Ecommerce launches and promotional activity. SAP is helpful but not required. Training can be provided to a candidate with strong Shopify experience. Advanced content-execution experience is also not required, as this is primarily handled by a dedicated local team member.
