Shopify Liquid Dev – Bundle Builder Speed Fix & Cart Discount Bug

Shopify Liquid – Bundle Builder Performance Fix & Cart Discount Display Bug Page URL: https://howaboutnope.com/pages/bundle-builder Overview We have a custom-built 'Pick Your Own' bundle builder page on our Shopify store and need an experienced Shopify/Liquid developer to fix two distinct issues. Issue 1 – 'Send Bundle to Bag' Button Delay The button currently has a 2–3 second lag on both Safari and Chrome. When clicked multiple times in quick succession, multiple items are incorrectly added to the cart and the delay extends further. We need you to: Audit the Liquid/JavaScript behind the button's cart functionality Identify the root cause of the delay (likely Ajax cart API or theme event handling) Add debouncing or a loading/disabled state to prevent duplicate cart additions Reduce response time to under 1 second Assess whether any third-party scripts (we run Discount Ninja site-wide) are contributing to the delay and flag if so Ensure the fix works across Chrome, Safari, and mobile Issue 2 – Cart Discount Price Not Always Displaying Correctly Intermittently, customers see the full (non-discounted) price in their cart after building a bundle, rather than the discounted bundle price. This is not device- or browser-specific and cannot always be replicated consistently. Important context: The app powering our discounts (Discount Ninja) has confirmed a Version 6 release is due end of Q2 2026, which they say is expected to address pricing display inconsistencies. We are aware of this. However, we still want custom logic added now to handle the edge cases reliably rather than waiting and hoping the update resolves it. We need you to: Add custom logic to catch these edge cases and ensure the correct discounted price is always shown in the cart Include QA testing across iOS, Android, and desktop browsers What to Include in Your Proposal Relevant Shopify Liquid and cart/discount experience Your approach to diagnosing and fixing both issues Whether you'd treat these as one piece of work or two Estimated time and cost We want to move quickly and are ready to start within days. Please only apply if you have hands-on Shopify experience and can begin immediately.
