Shopify Product Listing Assistant (Solar Company)

Job Overview The Shopify Product Listing Assistant is responsible for creating, updating, and optimizing product listings on the Shopify platform. This role ensures all product information is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards to support sales and enhance the customer experience. Key Responsibilities Create and upload new product listings on Shopify, including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and variants Ensure all product information is accurate, complete, and consistently formatted Write clear, compelling, and SEO-friendly product descriptions Organize products into appropriate collections and categories Upload and optimize product images (naming, alt text, basic editing if needed) Update existing listings (pricing, inventory, descriptions, tags, etc.) Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, or marketing teams for product details and availability Monitor product listings for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information Implement basic SEO best practices (keywords, meta descriptions, tags) Assist with bulk uploads using CSV files when required Required Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good written English and product copywriting skills Basic understanding of e-commerce and online retail operations Familiarity with Shopify admin interface Basic knowledge of SEO principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Good organizational and time management skills Preferred Skills Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento) Basic image editing skills (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) Understanding of product tagging and categorization strategies Experience with bulk product uploads and CSV management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (preferred but not required) At least 2-3 years of experience in e-commerce, data entry, or product listing (preferred) Up to 40 hours a week 9 am to 5 pm EST
