Shopify Product Listing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shopify Product Listing Specialist to help manage and improve our Shopify store. This is a hourly, ongoing role that begins with a large initial project updating and cleaning up existing product listings, and will transition into ongoing work managing new product releases and regular updates from our brands and vendors. The ideal candidate will create and update product pages using precise SKU research and write engaging, custom copy that reflects the US Elite brand voice, telling customers exactly why they should buy. Responsibilities include researching product information independently, sourcing and editing high-quality images, renaming and optimizing image files, writing SEO-optimized titles and meta descriptions, conducting keyword research, and adding proper alt text and metadata across all listings. We require someone with proven Shopify experience, strong copywriting skills, proficiency in image editing tools like Canva or Photoshop, and comfort working with spreadsheets. You'll be asked to provide a portfolio or complete a sample task during the hiring process to demonstrate your skills. We are looking to get started immediately. All initial communication will take place through Upwork messaging, with the potential to transition to email and project management tools once we are underway. Key Requirements: Shopify & Store Management -Proven experience creating, updating, and cleaning up product listings -Managing SKUs, variants, and product organization -Tagging products for collections and site search -Working from and maintaining Excel or Google Sheets spreadsheets Content & Copywriting -Writing engaging, custom product descriptions that reflect the US Elite brand voice -Researching product information from manufacturer websites and other online sources -Writing SEO-optimized titles and meta descriptions for each listing SEO & Metadata -Conducting keyword research to identify the best SEO terms for each product and the store overall -Writing descriptive, keyword-rich alt text for all product images -Adding and managing metadata across all listings Image Management -Sourcing high-quality product images online -Editing images using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools including background removal and sizing -Renaming image files appropriately for SEO and organization Work Style -Comfortable handling high-volume, repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality -Able to work independently with minimal supervision -Responsive and reliable communication
