Shopify Product URL (Handle) Cleanup & SEO Optimization Specialist Needed (700 Products)

We are looking for an experienced Shopify specialist to help clean up and optimize **product URLs (handles)** across our Shopify store. Our store contains approximately 700 products, and we need every product URL reviewed to ensure it accurately matches the corresponding product title. This is an important SEO project that will improve consistency, professionalism, and compliance with Google best practices. We have identified many products where the URL does not accurately reflect the product title. These inconsistencies can create confusion for both customers and search engines. We are looking to hire immediately, so please only apply if you are available to begin work right away. --- # Scope of Work ### Review & Update Product URLs Review every product in our Shopify store and ensure the product URL (handle) closely matches the product title. For example: **Product Title** Dynamic Cold Therapy Oval Barrel Cold Plunge Tub Pacific Cedar 50 in. DCT-BO-50-PLPC-34 **Current URL** yourstorewebsite.com/products/dct-bo-50-plpc-34 This URL only contains the model number and does not accurately reflect the product title. Instead, the URL should closely match the product title using a clean, descriptive, SEO-friendly structure. --- ### Your Responsibilities * Review approximately **700 Shopify product URLs** * Update product handles so they closely match the corresponding product titles * Ensure URL structures are clean, descriptive, and SEO-friendly * Correct URLs that are abbreviated, inconsistent, or misleading * Maintain a consistent URL structure across the entire store * Create URL redirects whenever product URLs are changed to preserve SEO value and prevent broken links --- # Important Project Requirements All work **must be completed directly within Shopify**. **Do NOT export product data and re-import it.** We do not want any changes made outside of Shopify, as this could unintentionally affect: * Product collections * Product tags * Product categories * Metafields * SEO settings * Product associations * Inventory settings * Other Shopify configurations All updates should be made safely within the Shopify Admin. --- # Requirements * Strong Shopify experience * Experience managing Shopify product handles and URLs * Strong understanding of Shopify SEO best practices * Experience creating URL redirects * Excellent attention to detail * Experience working with large Shopify catalogs is preferred --- # When Applying, Please Include * Your Shopify experience * Examples of similar Shopify SEO or URL optimization projects * Your estimated timeline for completing approximately **700 products** * Approximately **how many hours** you expect this project will take.
