Shopify Sense Theme – Custom Mobile First Variant Card Picker

I’m looking for an experienced Shopify developer to replace my current app-based variant swatches with a custom, mobile-first variant card picker in the Shopify Sense theme. Reference: https://diamondsmileteeth.com/products/home-bleaching-kit I want to rebuild a very similar variant card selector, especially optimized for mobile. The cards should show: - custom variant image - variant/bundle title - optional badge, e.g. “Most popular” - optional short description / contents - compare-at price / strike-through price - current price - selected state - sold-out/unavailable state Important: The card images should not automatically use the Shopify variant image. I want to upload a separate image per variant in Shopify, ideally via variant metafields. Suggested metafields: - variant card image - custom card title - short description / contents - badge text Fallback logic: title = variant name if metafield is empty image = variant image or product image if custom card image is empty badge/description hidden if empty Technical requirements: - Work in a duplicated theme copy first. - Live theme and current swatch app must stay untouched during development. - In the theme copy, the current app-based swatches should be disabled/hidden. - The custom picker must work with Shopify’s native variant logic. - Selecting a card must update the correct variant, price, compare-at price, availability, add-to-cart state and variant URL/ID. - Mobile layout is the highest priority. - Cards should use 100% of the available container width on mobile. - Clean Liquid/CSS/JS implementation. - No extra app. - Must be compatible with Shopify Sense theme.
