Short-Form Content Creator for Music Artist

Independent music label looking for a short-form video editor to create social content for an artist releasing his EP in 2026. You will edit short videos (7-60 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. We provide the audio, footage, and creative direction. You edit to a defined visual style. This is an editing role (no shooting required). All content is atmospheric and cinematic — moody, environmental, film-influenced. If your portfolio is trending sounds and fast cuts, this is probably not the right fit. What you'll be making: There are 8 video formats. You will create 3 of each (24 videos total). - Pixelated Cold Open — 7-15 sec. Pixelated effect from frame one, hard cut ending. - Coordinate Drop — Environment shot with the track underneath. Caption is GPS coordinates + date only. - Found-Footage Loop — 20-30 sec. Environmental footage that feels found, not produced. - Send-It Blur — 20-25 sec. Intentionally blurry, cuts mid-thought. Made to be reshared. - Obscured Performance — Artist on camera but the room is never fully visible. - Artifact Plate — A single object with text annotation. Still or minimal motion. - Narrative Miniseries — 30-60 sec standalone scenes that form a larger story arc. - Format Breaker — Ultra-wide crop (5120x1080) of any format above. A few rules that apply to every video: - Captions are GPS coordinates, dates, or system IDs only. No song titles. No release language. - All audio is artist's original tracks. No replacing with other music. - Nothing over-lit or polished. Grain, natural light, environmental tone. - When artist appears on camera, the full room is never shown. Technical specs: - 9:16 vertical, 1080x1920 for all formats - Format Breaker only: 5120x1080 ultra-wide - Delivery: MP4, H.264, minimum 1080p - Caption font: Courier New or equivalent monospace only You're a fit if you: - Have experience editing cinematic or atmospheric short-form video - Know motion graphics — text animation, pixelated effects, and overlays you build yourself (not templates) - Can work within a defined visual system without improvising the style - Are reliable and responsive, with clean file delivery How it works: - We send you the brief, reference deck, and audio files - You deliver rough cuts by format batch, not one at a time - One round of revisions per batch - Final files go to our shared Dropbox - We review and approve everything before it posts Please do not post, share, or use any of this content in your portfolio without written approval from Sincerely Yours.
