Short-Form Content Strategist & Editor for Philosophy / Self-Development Brand
Worldwide
$25 per Short (Ongoing Project) Expert Level We are willing to pay higher rates for exceptional talent. Overview: We are looking for someone who thinks like a strategist first and an editor second. Our content focuses on philosophy, discipline, psychology, self-development, and long-term thinking. We are not interested in trend-chasing, flashy effects, or copying what everyone else is doing. We want someone who can shape ideas into engaging short-form videos that people genuinely want to watch and remember. The goal is simple: Create videos that earn attention while remaining intentional and faithful to the message. This is an ongoing position with one short every five days. What You Need to Succeed Core Judgment: Strong ability to identify what matters in long-form conversations Ability to separate signal from noise Understanding of why people stop scrolling and continue watching Confidence making decisive cuts without over-explaining Ability to recognize emotionally charged moments, tension, and strong ideas Short-Form Strategy Ability to build a short around: A powerful hook One dominant idea Strong pacing and retention A clean ending that lands the message You should understand: YouTube Shorts Instagram Reels without relying on: Trends Memes Excessive graphics Gimmicks Idea Selection & Audience Relevance Before creating a short, you should ask: Does this address a real problem, tension, or decision? Does it challenge assumptions or provide a fresh perspective? Would someone think, "I needed this" or "I've never thought about it that way"? We value clarity and depth over surface-level engagement. Editing Style We prefer videos with a: Serious tone Masculine aesthetic Professional look Clean pacing The editing should support the message, not distract from it. We are inspired by creators such as: Chris Williamson Ryan Holiday Alex Hormozi Naval Ravikant Simple, intentional, and visually engaging. Communication & Execution You should be able to: Explain your reasoning for selecting a clip Communicate clearly Work independently Deliver consistently Collaborate as part of a team We welcome ideas and initiative. We are looking for someone who wants to make the content better, not simply follow instructions. Not a Fit If You: Depend heavily on trends or viral templates Add effects for the sake of adding effects Need constant direction on basic structure Prioritize views at the expense of the message See yourself only as a video editor rather than a strategic creative partner Deliverables For each short: Select the strongest segment from the long-form episode. Edit the video with retention and clarity in mind. Deliver a polished short that strengthens the message and stands on its own. To Apply Please include: Links to your best Shorts, Reels, or TikTok edits. A brief description of your creative process. Why you think certain videos perform better than others. Examples where your decisions improved a video's engagement or retention. Whether you prefer to work independently or collaboratively. This is not a high-volume content farm. We care about ideas. We care about quality. And we believe great content should help people think more clearly, not just capture attention.
