Short Form Editor - Lead

I run content for a large influencer within the trading/finance space, and I'm looking for a lead editor to support ownership of their short-form output. This is a high-visibility account with high standards, and the work is seen by a large, engaged audience. I need someone who treats it that way. This isn't a churn-and-burn gig where you're mindlessly pulling clips. It's a craft role on an account where every piece matters, where the brief shifts as the strategy shifts, and where "good enough" doesn't cut it. If you're an editor who takes pride in the frame, this is a long-term seat. What you'll be doing: - Editing premium short-form video (Reels / TikTok / Shorts) for a finance/trading creator - Taking long-form footage and building it into informative, retention-focused, bespoke pieces — not just clipping the obvious moments, but crafting standalone content that holds attention and delivers value - Turning raw footage into sharp, retention-led edits — pacing, captions, motion, sound design, b-roll - Handling a range of production levels — not every piece needs to be high-grade or heavily produced, so you'll need the transferable skill to move between polished, high-production edits and simpler, faster formats without dropping the ball on either - Working to a clear creative direction from me, while bringing your own polish and ideas - Adapting fast as the account pivots — formats, hooks, and styles will evolve, and you need to move with them - Owning quality control on your own output so it lands right the first time Who I'm looking for: - A genuinely top-tier short-form editor — your portfolio is the first thing I'll judge, so lead with your best - Fast and high quality — speed is important. I need someone who can handle a high volume of work while keeping the quality bar high, not perfection in two weeks or speed with no soul - Versatile — comfortable both on bespoke, high-production hero pieces and quick, simpler edits - Reliable and communicative — this is the most important account I run; I need someone I can count on without chasing - Comfortable with iteration and changes without it derailing you - Bonus: experience editing in the finance, business, or creator/personal-brand space, and an eye for what performs Strong fits will be invited to a quick Google Hangouts meeting.
