Job Title: Short-Form Video Editor — Music Label | TikTok, YouTube, Reels | Hawaii Nonprofit About This Role Maukele Records (Aloha Center, Hawaii 501(c)(3)) releases music across five genre series — Hawaiian, Latin spiritual, interfaith devotional, country, and meditation. We use Freebeat.ai to generate base AI music videos, and we need a skilled editor to transform those raw exports into polished, platform-ready assets for every release. Each video asset is not just "content" — it's a small doorway into a healing state. We're looking for an editor who can feel the emotional arc of a song and translate that into pacing, cuts, and typography that invite calm, hope, or inspiration. What You'll Produce Per Release (4 Assets) 1. TikTok/Reels Teaser (15–30 seconds, 9:16 vertical): Freebeat.ai base clip + text overlay of key lyric line + Maukele Records branding intro/outro — designed to quickly move the viewer from noise and stress into a moment of presence. 2. YouTube Lyric Video (full song, 16:9): Human-authored lyrics on screen over Freebeat.ai visual; clean typography, no clutter — so viewers can treat the song like a guided affirmation or prayer, reading along line by line. 3. Spotify Canvas (3–8 seconds, looping, 9:16): Trimmed from Freebeat.ai clip; seamless loop; no text — subtle enough to support meditation playlists without distracting visual noise. 4. "Story Behind the Song" Edit (30–60 seconds): Edit of a talking-head clip (us on camera, phone quality) — trim, color grade, add lower-third with artist name and release date — edited to feel like an intimate conversation with a friend, not a commercial. Volume: 2–4 releases per month = 8–16 video assets per month What We're Looking For - Strong experience in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar - Proven short-form video portfolio (TikTok/Reels/YouTube Shorts experience strongly preferred) - Clean typography and text animation skills - Ability to follow a brand style guide (we provide logo, color palette, font) - Ability to edit with emotional pacing — knowing when to hold a shot longer so the feeling lands - Comfort working with interfaith and spiritually diverse material (Christian, Sufi, Buddhist, Hawaiian, etc.) - Spiritual, ambient, or world music aesthetic sensibility is a strong plus - Reliable turnaround: 48–72 hours per asset batch - You're drawn to projects where creativity, craft, and spiritual intention come together to genuinely help people Hours: Approximately 20 hours/month (scales with release volume) Rate: $7–$10/hr or $40–$80/asset bundle Contract: Ongoing retainer preferred; open to per-project We will be selecting candidates based not only on skill and portfolio, but also on how aligned they feel with our mission to support healing and resourcefulness in listeners.
